Over its vivid and expansive history, Sudeley Castle has played host to many of England's reigning Queens, from Anne Boleyn to Queen Elizabeth. Named in commemoration of all its regal visitors of the past, Queens Cottage is an elegantly converted old engine house that offers guests an open-plan cottage experience.
The accommodation is arranged over two floors. Guests enter from the raised patio/dining area into the long, open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. The living area features a flat-screen Freeview TV and two large sofas, of which one converts into a bed. Further into the property, you will find a dining table that can seat 6 and a well-equipped kitchen. To the left of the kitchen is a downstairs bathroom.
Upstairs there is one double bedroom with a king-size bed and one very spacious twin bedroom, as well as a large family bathroom with a walk-in shower.
A bright, well-lit open plan area makes up the downstairs floor of Queens Cottage. Comfortable sofa seating for 4/6, coffee table, Freeview TV and DVD player, and a good-size dining table and chairs for 6. The kitchen at Queens Cottage has a discernible country-cottage feel, with fresh-cream coloured cabinets and wooden work surfaces. The kitchen is complete with a Neff cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Russel Hobbs toaster + kettle, and Nespresso coffee machine.
A useful downstairs bathroom with bathtub and attached shower fixture, toilet, and washbasin.
A lovely high-ceiling bedroom with original beams, a comfortable king-size bed, chest of drawers, saddle chair, and wardrobe with drawers.
Family Shower Room:
A generous-sized family shower room with a large walk-in shower, complete with a fixed rain shower head as well as a detachable shower hose. Toilet, washbasin, plenty of shelf space, and a handy light-up mirror.
A big, bright bedroom with original porthole window and beams. Two comfortable single beds, wardrobe with drawers, chest of drawers with fixed mirror and overhead reading lights.
Guests have access to an elevated patio area with a table and seating for 6, overlooking the cottage courtyard.
