Lovely Somerset break

Perfect base for exploring Cheddar and surrounding areas. Very clean, with lots of amenities. Our boys loved the music room and trampoline, and my husband loved our Klimt bedroom. :-)

The property was as described, and comfortable for myself and 2 friends - we used the 2 bedrooms in the house and we used the annexe. The location is great as we could walk into Cheddar to explore the Gorge and caves, and to the reservoir. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac and very peaceful. The house was clean and had all the amenities we required for our walking holiday in the Mendip Hills. It is clearly a family home and very lived-in, a bit different to some of the holiday homes we stayed in previously. For example some of the windows did not shut properly, some of the doors would get stuck and had to be pushed open, and there was a draft in the Upper Room as the door-frame has a few gaps in it which could do with a repair.Overall a pleasant stay and we enjoyed exploring Cheddar and Somerset.

Perfect for a get away with friends

We booked the property to stay for a couple of nights and the stay met all expectations - the house is well-equipped, there’s plenty of space for several adults, it’s ideally located for visiting Cheddar and the surround areas. The host replied promptly and had clearly gone to a lot of trouble to include lots of extras (loads of books, a foot spa, toiletries, in-depth guide for the area and house, fairy and festoon lights outside, outside cushions etc.) The house is quite quirky and full of character - it might not be one to choose if you are looking for minimalist decor, but it was cosy and there was plenty to explore.
