It takes about two hours to drive from Cardiff Airport to St Davids. From the airport, head north for about 10 miles until you reach the M4 motorway. Follow the M4 west until it ends, then take the A48 and the A40 to Haverfordwest. From Haverfordwest, the A487 will take you the rest of the way to St Davids.
If you wish to travel by train, you can catch the shuttle bus from the airport to Rhoose Cardiff International Airport train station, where you can get a train to Bridgend. From Bridgend you can get a connecting train to Haverfordwest, from where you can catch the 411 bus to take you the rest of the way. Alternatively, you can get a bus from the airport to Cardiff Central bus station, then catch the 528 bus to Haverfordwest, and then the 411 bus to St Davids.

St Davids has much to offer visitors all year round, but there are a number of annual festivals and events during which the city really comes to life.
For lovers of classical music, the St Davids Cathedral Festival is held over nine days in May and June, and is considered to be one of the best classical music festivals in Wales. Also in May, the Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival is a food festival with a foraging theme, and the only food festival offering food and drink sourced entirely from Wales. Gwerin y Pererin, or the St David’s Folk Festival, is held in the Bishop’s Palace grounds in July, and provides an evening’s entertainment of traditional Celtic music.
In July and August open air theatre productions are put on in the Bishop’s Palace, while indoor productions are held at the Mathry Community Hall.
