For lovers of classical music, the St Davids Cathedral Festival is held over nine days in May and June, and is considered to be one of the best classical music festivals in Wales. Also in May, the Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival is a food festival with a foraging theme, and the only food festival offering food and drink sourced entirely from Wales. Gwerin y Pererin, or the St David’s Folk Festival, is held in the Bishop’s Palace grounds in July, and provides an evening’s entertainment of traditional Celtic music.
In July and August open air theatre productions are put on in the Bishop’s Palace, while indoor productions are held at the Mathry Community Hall.
