The house seemed to have more room than what I was expecting from the pictures. We traveled up from Florida with our 3 sons and 2 dogs to spend the Christmas week in the mountains. The boys enjoyed fishing and kayaking down at the river. The house has a rustic comfort to it. We enjoyed the week relaxing. The owners are very nice people and live next door. The property is along the river and the house is very quiet and tucked away. We really liked that we could drive 10-15 minutes to go do something touristy in Chattanooga or the Lookout Mountain area and then come back to the peace and quiet of the river house. My son was delighted with fishing off the dock. By the second or third day, I was really enjoying drinking my tea in the morning while looking out the window and watching the river go by. We would definitely go back again. It was just the three of us, but a larger family could stay here comfortably. Yet it remains a "home" with front yard picket fence, large shady trees, overlooking beautiful views of the river and mountains. Extended family stayed in another rental a half mile from us and we all enjoyed a wonderful time together - 4 generations within our group and 3 generations in our extended family group. Several enjoyed fishing, with a few nice sized bass and catfish, also some bream. Thoroughly enjoyed our time together - just too short! Thanks for such a nice place to stay.
