It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests, with a main bedroom and a sleeping loft. The Space: Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area. Named after Frank & Nicole's German host-daughter, Celina is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga. Celina is one of our delightful rustic cabins. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front with charcoal grill, shared fire pit, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature. Celina can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests between the main bedroom and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, private washer dryer combo, & more. Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just off the deck is the shared fire pit and picnic pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property. Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom is your dedicated washer and dryer combo unit on one side and the full bathroom with bathtub on the other. A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa. Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up. The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (charcoal not include). We are pleased to allow dogs at Celina Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information. Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance. Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request. To make sure your stay at Wauhatchie Woodlands is perfect, our locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. Guest Access: You’ll have your cabin all to yourself during your stay. Wauhatchie Woodlands is a 14-acre property surrounded by National Forest. Guests have access to trails around the grounds, as well as shared pavilions, community fire pits, and playground. Please be respectful of other guests during your stay. The Neighborhood: Lookout Valley Getting Around: To make the most of your stay, we recommend a car to get around. Each of our tiny cabins can accommodate two cars in private driveways. UBER and Lyft are available throughout the Chattanooga area, in addition to a number of local taxi services. Please note that availability may be extremely limited during peak times. The city of Chattanooga offers reasonably priced parking on the street and in several public parking lots. A free electric shuttle bus runs between the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops at every block. The buses run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Bus schedules may vary, please consult the Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority website for the most up to date schedules. Bike Chattanooga offers bike share rentals at 42 self-service kiosk locations all around downtown Chattanooga. With over 300 bicycles and 50 e-bikes this is a great way to explore the city. No Smoking: Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside Timberroot properties. Refer to the rental agreement to see these policies and the additional fees that occur if you fail to follow them. Pests: We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out. However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you do encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so that our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. I have already recommended this resort to friends who might head to Chattanooga! PROS: - charming tiny-house cabins, each with private hot tub - wooded area offers privacy - location is convenient to restaurants and super close to the major attractions in the area - price is on point - all soaps, detergents, and shampoo provided - tiny houses are just so cute! Kids LOVE the loft area CONS: - wooded area means lots of mosquitos - entrance to resort is super steep and a little freaky the first couple times - no rugs inside our specific cabin (= messy floor and dirty socks) ##### Jodi D. Cabins are close to one another but it does not feel that way when inside enjoying your space. Hot tubs are nice to have. Enjoyed walking around the area with my dog. Love that pets are welcome. The property is what I would call a cabin park--a trailer park/campground that has been converted to a rental neighborhood. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I liked the precut firewood and my kids liked the playground. The only thing they could improve on is some signage at the road. And very comfortable . It was so relaxing , we enjoyed having breakfast every morning on the front porch.Ourdaily excursions were short lived only to return to the tranquility of the cabin . Our only regret was not booking a longer stay . The cabin had everything we needed . We are planning on returning in the fall and next summer .
