What a great stay and what a great house! The location is fantastic and centrally located to so many attractions. Downtown is just minutes away, and with easy access to Route 29 and Route 250, getting anywhere in Charlottesville is convenient. It's also within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, and other local favorites.John was an excellent host—very communicative, responsive, and helpful with any questions or instructions we needed throughout our stay. His response time was always quick and appreciated. The house itself was spotless, well-equipped with amenities, and full of character. I especially loved all the unique touches and thoughtful extras throughout the home that made it feel special and welcoming.I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Charlottesville. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

Older home but comfortable and met our needs. Kitchen had necessities and a few extras (pantry items etc). Laundry in the basement was initially locked and inaccessible but we had a quick response from the owner who then allowed us access. Overall good stay.

Perfect Spot Close to Wine Country

My partner and I stayed with another couple as we planned to visit a few wineries in the area over the holiday weekend. This property is ideally located close to the downtown area which has a ton of options for dining, but is still also close to the wine region’s best offerings as well. The home is spacious and has nice outdoor areas as well. We enjoyed a meal on the back patio one night by the fire. Thanks for having us!

Comfortable home with thoughtful touches

This was the perfect home for a visit to Charlottesville. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The host was easy to contact and thought of everything…from a sewing repair kit to half & half in the fridge. Location was great for visiting the university, restaurants and wineries.

Great Stay

The property is as described, and John is very responsive to questions. The driveway is very steep so it might not be easy for everyone to navigate, but everything else is a breeze. Very nice backyard for a dog to get some exercise. Great location.

Perfect Location

We loved our time at the Stadium Hill House. We were traveling to attend the SMU football game at UVA. The house was a very short and easy walk to the stadium. Everything was very clean and well appointed. There are also several nice restaurants within walking distance. We could not have been happier with our decision to stay there,

This house has a great proximity to the UVA grounds, was clean and pet friendly. The stay was nice but communication with the host was odd. When toilet paper ran out I contacted the host asking where more can be found. The host responded with “What is your problem” then when I responded that we had found extra he said “no one does that, there is plenty of toilet paper”. I found the response unnecessarily aggressive and was uncomfortable.

Great house and great location

We had a wonderful stay at Jon’s Stadium Hill House. The house is lovely. Very clean. Lovely older home that has been updated with modern conveniences will maintaining the character of the older house. The location is great, the fenced in and private backyard was perfect for our pup, and free parking for multiple cars available. We will definitely seek this property out again. Thanks, Jon!!!
