The Space: Originally built in 1820, this magnificent home was taken all the way down to its studs in an extensive renovation in order to expose its rich history while providing modern day luxuries. You wont find another house quite like this to make your Charleston trip the best it can be! This is a classic Charleston home made up of two units A&B, this is the listing for Unit A (downstairs unit). The entire unit is yours, so there are no shared spaces except for the driveway area. During the remodel we went to great lengths (open cell spray foam, 1 inch quiet sheetrock and vibration barrier) to ensure the house stays very quiet from one unit to the other so this is not your typical duplex! Great property that is well taken care of. We had 4 adults and two kids and utilized 2 of the bedrooms, the bunk beds are an amazing addition. The living area is just the perfect size and allowed us all a place to relax when not out and play games in the evening. We really enjoyed the location, easy access to a number of coffee shops and restaurants. The property is in a great location just a couple blocks from King and close to an array of restaurants. The only drawback was that there is no table to eat at which made it difficult for 8 people. Lots of great restaurants all around. Beds were super comfortable. Renter was very responsive to all questions about switching unit to heat and to letting us keep our bags there a little after checkout. Plenty of towels.
