Step off the private front porch into the colorful open floor plan kitchen and dining space with a table that seats 8 and a large 60” flat screen TV preloaded with the most popular streaming apps. Directly above the fully equipped kitchen and dining area is the main living space on the second floor. The living area features a gorgeous statement wallpaper, exposed original beams, comfortable group seating and a second 60” TV, as well as a wet bar for added convenience. The home’s four ensuite bedrooms are individually designed with unique personalities and bold colorways that play off the Charleston aesthetic. The front downstairs bedroom offers a comfortable king-sized bed as well as a private bathroom with a pedestal sink and walk in tiled shower. The back bedroom includes a king-sized bed, a striking wallpaper and an ensuite bathroom with single vanity and shower/tub combination. We loved that each room had a king bed and it's own bathroom- a must for 7 girls. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is NO storage, for anything. Not even a surface to put things on in most bathrooms. If even a couple dressers or drawer space could be added it would make such a difference. Also, the front rooms really need black out blinds of some sort- the lamppost right outside the window is so bright. The location was perfect with two coffee shops within minutes and king street just a little further. Parking is tight which was noted but we were easily able to find street parking when needed. Beds were very comfy. The house is on the street so street noise/light to be expected but nothing that was outrageous. Contact with the company was so easy and response was quick. Great place for friends or family, rooms were clean beds were nice. Upstairs area was a hit, everyone had a great time. Bagel place nearby so didn't have to go far for breakfast and coffee. Vacation stay was impacted by snowstorm and ice. Prior to our arrival, someone placed the garbage cans at the curb. They were absolutely full, meaning we had nowhere to place our trash and recyclables. Perhaps trash removal service was impacted by the storm. Inside the home, our only negative observation is the choice to install closet hangers that cannot be removed caused problems, especially for the shorter persons in our party. Please consider replacing these hangers with a model that can be removed to place clothing upon them and then returned to the closets. ##### Mike F. But no rooms had TVs or anywhere to put clothing. TVs in main areas did not function. Very little seating. Living space did not match picture. One very small kitchen and other was a wert bar. Lighting in the bedrooms needs enhanced Closets (yes, old house) in A not very functional- especially with the attached hangars Don't need so many of those. ALOT of cooking pans and far too many plates etc- too many old, etc. Just use a nice set from season to season (we rent houses) More not better. No shelf space near pedestal sinks. Overall good place, harder to compete with total refurbs like what is across street but was a nice base for our wedding guests. Yes, I was expecting the location to be loud in the evenings, being a block or two from King Street. What I wasn’t expecting was a loud house party right next door. Loud enough where we could not sit in our own living room and hold a conversation. As soon as police were called they turned the music down. There was a crowd on the porch next door for a bit but then things were more quiet for the remainder of the evening. Is it the price you pay for a good location? Probably. There are some fantastic neighborhood restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops right around the corner. I also wasn’t expecting such an uncomfortable couch. It is time for this rental to buy two new couches. I wouldn’t rent until this happens. The two couches were truly very uncomfortable. Just from normal wear and tear. The arm chairs and outdoor seating are good. The neighborhood is both adorable and rough, truly transitional. This did not bother me but if it’s a problem then this rental is not for you. If you love memory foam mattresses, then the beds will be perfect for you. I couldn’t quite figure out the layout from the description. There’s a king room and a queen room at each end of the house on the first floor and each end of the house on the second floor. Each room has their own bathroom which is great. And you have the whole house to yourself with outdoor porches and patio. Patio is near garbage cans. Kitchen and dining room on first floor. Living room and small bar on the second floor. This would be a great rental for a ladies weekend or a gents weekend. The type of weekend where you’re out and about all day and come back to sleep.
