Mary was very helpful and responsive both during the planning and after we arrived at the property. The house is just as pictured, beach is very close nearby, everything was clean and tidy. Mary sent a packet with recommendations of local sights and restaurants prior to our arrival, which was very helpful. The screened in porch was our absolute favorite part of the trip! Highly recommend this property.

Took my mom and her signo to her bucket list town, Charleston, with beach style…Staying in the IOP was the best mix of busy touring and chill. Great food options, atmosphere and the best sleep. The air is just different and the beach sounds divine!

Awesome Trip

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house worked out great for my family including my two granddaughters. Beach access was awesome, the house was clean, nicely decorated and well maintained. Our host was fully engaged during our stay making sure we arrived and checked in. She offered advice on places to eat and things to do in the area. We have been to Isle of Palms many times over the years and this trip was quite enjoyable due to the house and the host. I highly recommend this property and we will return soon.

IOP wonderful getaway with family

This was a great place for our family to enjoy the beach and time together. A beautiful place, easy walk to the beach and great communication with the owner. We were welcomed with a spectacular sunrise in the morning. The back porch was a relaxing hang out area. The location was convenient to stores and restaurants. It was the prettiest landscape view heading out to the dunes on the street.

Beautiful Beach Front Home

This home is situated with a private walkway directly to the beach. Mary has it decorated perfectly. Not the over the top beach decor we have experienced in the past. Many outdoor seating options, from the screened porch to the backyard. The beds were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. She was a great communicator and made sure our stay was flawless. We would love the opportunity to stay here again should we visit the Charleston area again.

Wonderful Stay

The owner excelled with all communication before, during and after our stay. Home is in a quiet neighborhood near downtown Isle of Palms. It was the cleanest and well stocked rental we’ve ever had. Everything we could need including a wagon to haul things to the beach were there. The owners have literally anticipated every need. Beds were comfortable. There were games and puzzles galore. Best of all, as others have said, was the screen porch. Very comfortable chairs and rockers, the sound of waves to snooze by on the porch sofa, and the ocean

FHS girlfriend reunion

This property fit our every need. It is without a doubt the owners love their property and are proud of it. It was appointed beautifully. There was nothing they didn’t make available for our use. 4 adults. A 7 year old and a 1 year old. The house was a absolutely perfect! Private walk to the beach. The hostess had everything in the house you would need for a great beach vacation. Lots of towels and kitchen supplies....beach suplies. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The screened in porch was where we spent most of our time but there were tons of seating options! Overall it was perfect! Zero complaints and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! 10 out of 10!!

Beautiful IOP Property

This was our favorite beach rental in a long while. The direct beach access was wonderful and the view from the porch was great. We loved that the screened porch was large enough to all comfortably fit and read, snack, and/or play card games. The beds were so comfortable. I feel like this is not an area a lot of owners give great attention to, but the linens (included which were a huge plus) and beds made it so we could all sleep well and enjoy the week. The location was excellent with a short drive to Sullivan's Island and into Charleston. We also walked to the beach shops and places to eat in nearby IOP. The house was well stocked and Mary was very, very responsive to texts with questions or minor issues. We appreciated her hospitality and would definitely rent here again to enjoy the wide, beautiful IOP beaches.

Home away from home

Mary was wonderful communicating with us from the beginning. From the big welcome packet she sent us in the mail, she was organized and texted us the day of check-in when the house was ready. Even beforehand, we could park at the house and go to the beach. The home was very clean, with fresh flowers, soaps, and fluffy towels. We loved all the details to make us feel at home. I cooked breakfast and most lunches, and I wanted for no pantry supplies. The screened porch was fantastic. There are many restaurants within walking distance, and groceries down the street. The beach is a quiet section, just far enough away from the pier and county park area which is busier. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay. Our kids said this has been their favorite vacation house.

Fit us perfectly

First off, it was very easy dealing with the owner. She provided us clear instructions beforehand and then via text while we were there. Very responsive with good information. Second, the house was ideal for what we needed. There were 4 of us (Mom & Dad and 2 kids, ages 14 and 12). The house was spotless when we got there and had everything we needed. Third, location was so great. Private boardwalk to the beach, easy to get in and out of when we drove anywhere, again, everything we hoped for and were promised. Fourth, all the beach stuff we needed was there. The cart was a life saver since it was so much easier than carrying the chairs and canopy (which were also provided). I'm not sure there's anything we'd change. We would definitely go back here!

Charm + Comfort

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here with my parents and our kids. The location is old coastal charm, with a naturalized area along the private boardwalk where you hear crickets, frogs and birds. You can enjoy the natural area and ocean views plus the sound of the waves from the screened-in porch where we spent most evenings and mornings. The beach location is near the lifeguard-protected area next to the pier, but the beach in front of the property never felt too crowded. The house is also very convenient (a couple of minutes) to the local grocery and Simmons Seafood shop which made meals easy. We enjoyed going into Mt Pleasant for kayaking (15-20 min), and into Charleston one day for great restaurants (25 min). The house was perfectly appointed with, it seemed, all amenities carefully through through -- beach cart, cabana, chairs and boogie boards, etc. for outdoors -- plenty of spices, two kinds of coffee makers, etc. for the kitchen. The bedrooms were comfortable, the house was nicely decorated and easy living for 6. And Mary was a great host and communicator. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Thanksgiving beach stay!

Our plan was to stay at a property that had direct access to the beach from from the back door. This property had exactly what we were looking for. Quiet street with very little traffic. Easy access to the property via a car with plenty of parking. The house is well furnished. We were there to have a family Thanksgiving. There was everything that we needed to cook a 16 pound turkey for a family of six. Kitchen area is a little small for 4 adults contributing to the the dinner fixings but it added to part of the fun being in there at the same time. We wanted to eat out on the screened patio area but the cooler weather dampened the idea. We did do a couple of evenings using the BBQ which is a very nice BBQ I might add. The beds were very comfortable for sleeping so we got plenty of rest. The walks to the beach for morning sunrises was excellent and we seen some awesome and not so awesome sunrise due to the weather. We will be reserving this house again when we visit our daughter and son in law in the future.

Pure joy

We loved our family stay at the beach house. It is very homey and well stocked with supplies for cooking and eating. The screened in patio is a pure joy. You see and hear the ocean but there’s enough distance that you have privacy from beach goers. The patio table is large enough for the whole family to gather around to eat, play games and enjoy the colors of the sunrise. The house is very comfortable and great for a family vacation - it’s more rustic and that adds to its comfort, warmth and charms. Mostly, the owner was so lovely. We lost power for a bit with the tornado in the area and she offered us to stay an extra day and allowed us to leave at our leisure. Also, the prior renters hadn’t fully closed the fridge so it took a bit of time to get it to a cold enough temp. Mary was so helpful and even offered to cover loss of food we brought. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare these days. Even though we had a few items not safe for consumption I had no intention of taking her up on her generous offer. Kindness goes a long way.
