Brand new pool! This home has had updates all throughout and is fresh and ready for your perfect Kiawah Island getaway! Pool is heated from October through April. Located conveniently on Governor's Drive in Vanderhorst Plantation between The Sanctuary Hotel and recreational offerings at East Beach and the famed Ocean Course, 281 Governors Drive is a freshly renovated five-bedroom, six-bathroom, 3,740-square-foot home is situated among exquisite live oaks and towering palms on a large corner homesite. The well-maintained landscape enhances the inviting front porch and cedar-clapboard exterior of the home, which boasts a traditional Southern-style facade. Property views extend across the lagoon waters to the 5th fairway of the Osprey Point Course - a perfect Kiawah Island and Lowcountry setting. Gorgeous new interior furnishings give this home a light, airy, and coastal feel. The traditional floorplan includes a beautiful formal dining room and separate living room with built-in shelves, recessed lighting, a fireplace, and three sets of glass doors that allow bright natural light to flow inside. Two additional sliding glass doors, custom wood cabinets, and a center island are the focal points of the kitchen. The living spaces extend outside to the large screened porch and new Garapa deck that overlook the calm lagoon waters. Lush trees and foliage provide a peaceful and private exterior sanctuary. Pool with waterfall feature on the back deck with a great view, pool heat is $175 per day plus tax, four day minimum required. The spacious master suite features a fireplace and sliding glass doors to a private balcony, multiple closets and a bathroom with dual vanities with granite countertops and tile flooring. A guest room on the first floor also has a set of glass doors to bring in natural light and offer access to the outdoor living spaces. Upstairs, the second floor boasts a converted space with vaulted ceilings, one bedroom with a full bath plus a comfortable and quiet sitting room. As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access;. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. The porch extends across the back of the house so multiple guests can take advantage of the view. Kiawah has a few restaurant options, but if you're staying for more than a few days, you'll likely want to cook at home. This kitchen makes that easy because it is well-stocked with cooking and baking tools (not always the case in rentals). The main sitting area in the house had multiple, comfortable seating options. The home is STUNNING. The space for everyone is fantastic. The screened in porch was wonderful. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and more! The beds were very comfortable. If you are debating heating the pool, just do it. It is VERY cold, if left unheated, as it is shaded. Some may love that, but it wasn’t extremely hot the week we were there and the pool was definitely too cold for our group. The bike rental and bike rides to the beach were so pleasant and fun. Renting chairs and umbrellas to be delivered to the beach is definitely the way to go! Also, the kitchen was very well stocked and it was furnished well. Just beautiful. Our suggestions to make the rental experience go from good to great would be for the owners to grant access to the garage, for there to be TVs in the bedrooms (there were none), and for access to the smart TV in the living room. There are a lot of trees surrounding the property, and debris feel often. Our cars were a constant mess and we had to physically move our bikes from the driveway up and around the home into the screened porch area any time it was going to rain. It was very frustrating not to be able to easily move things into a garage. Also, the main TV is restricted with a PIN required so we couldn't download apps for the children to use our personal accounts. This wasn't helpful on rain days or for family movie nights. Also, please be aware that the home is on a very busy street. Cars fly by often. If you have small children like we do, please plan on being outside with them at all times. Overall, we would stay again if there was garage access! The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 281 Governors Drive home was one of our favorites for many reasons. The floorplan is great for a family that has kids. The upstairs has two full bathrooms and a living room area for kids to have their own space. The downstairs bedrooms all have bathrooms that are updated and they are separate from the master bedroom. The outdoor area is spacious and the plunge pool is great for cooling off. Great views and location on the island as well. The kitchen is well stocked and the entire house is decorated and clean. ESPM is a great company to rent thru. We definitely will rent this home again. The driveway is also great for multiple vehicles. ##### Wendy M.
