Not a fan. Particularly of the location: which I found very poor.
Advice: book short stays, and decide there and then.
I experienced more the outskirts of a not so upscale urban periphery than Chania's seaside or old town charm.
VIEW from my balcony, immediately below, was a high traffic, hence noisy, road, and Shell gas station with a shack immediately on its side.
The walk to the beach was not 5 minutes, maybe double if you walk as fast as I do [Bonus: on the right side you can admire some cars left to rust in a nearby field and a very messy walking side: pictures available].
I realised that I had booked the wrong type of place [in too much of a hurry] almost immediately; I had checked in an almost brain dead state after a full night of sleepless travel and was unable to walk away there and then. Plus, I thought that the 24 hours Expedia cancellation rule still applied, but apparently it didn't: I tried to negotiate my way out - of what was not exactly the place were I wanted to spend my only true vacation this year [given that prices in way more attractively located places were similar if not lower] - and I offered to pay for a cleaning, while no reasonable penalty was offered: none of my prepaid seven nights were going to be refunded; I mentioned feeling "imprisoned"; and eventually lost my patience.
Decided to stay because I did not want to add financial damage to the disappointment I experienced.
While there, it took three day to see my bathroom math moved or changed.
