However, it was a bit inconvenient that there was no parking available. Communication was only via WhatsApp at first, and there was no personal welcome, no recommendations, or any small tips about Chania, which we really appreciated in other places we stayed last year. There was also only one key card for the room, so we always had to coordinate who would take it. At one point, we accidentally locked ourselves out and unfortunately, I had left my phone inside. My partner, who didn’t yet have the accommodation’s contact number saved, tried to call the phone number listed downstairs on the door, but it turned out to be incorrect. This was quite stressful in the moment and could have been avoided with clearer information. Additionally, when we arrived, the floor was quite dirty, with dust and crumbs. Very spacious, modern and well-kept property and rooms. The host was very responsive to any and all requests. Limited nearby parking and unfortunately, we did get a parking ticket. There is free parking (Kiprou Street) within 10-minute walk, not terribly convenient, but free. Thankfully you can driver very close to drop off luggage.
