We had a great 2 night stay at Cumberland Motel. It is an old Motel which is in the throws of updating the rooms. We stayed in a double duluxe room and it was renovated, it was very clean and comfortable. The beds are new with a firm mattress. The new Manger was very pleasant and accommodating .

This property is undergoing renovations and our room was almost done. It was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping needs to ensure mugs are clean and there needs to be more than a little cup and one large mug.

Location and the friendliness of staff were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking wasn’t allocated individually to room but was still close. Smoking and ashtrays were right outside in front of our room door which made our room smell of smoke it was quite strong and as an asthmatic who had been allocated a non smoking room I found this difficult to deal with. Rooms were quiet but not soundproof and windows did not have blockout curtains. Value for money and ease of walking to Main Street was excellent.

We booked a queen deluxe room for one night. Picked up the room keys in the afternoon but didn’t go to the room straight away as we had a function to go to. On arriving back later that evening on opening the room we were quickly disappointed. Generally the room was quite dusty and felt dirty. The curtains need replacing and were not hanging correctly. The TV remote didn’t work and the back of the air conditioners remote was missing. In the bathroom there was old soap in the soap dish, no hair and body gel in the dispenser in the bathroom. The drawers in the vanity in the bathroom were dirty and the vanity was in need of replacing. We could not find a hairdryer. The room was generally very dusty. Bits of trim missing from the surrounds of the flooring. I have emailed the motel directly twice since our stay but have had no acknowledgement or response so far. The room is large and the bed comfortable, it has great potential but we were disappointed overall.

My room was huge (Room 1). Bathroom was large too. Easy access from car park. Very handy location to the Main Street, shops, restaurants etc. That room could use a new tv remote, and the aircon cut out a couple of times.
