"The resort was really not open for business. Luckily, staff members were there when we checked in, but were not expecting us. Other than the night watchman, we never saw another employee. On our last night, the gates to the resort were locked and we had to climb through barbed wire and hike down to the main building and find the watchman. He gave us the key and we hiked back up the hill. The front desk was not open the hours advertised. The hot water did not work and we had no one to ask. ...

"We stayed 4 nights, 5 days at Golden Pineapple and wish we never had to leave. We felt right at home the whole time, from the minute Marlon picked us up from SJO. Marlon, Pablo, and Leo were seriously so sweet, friendly, and attentive the whole time. The property is beautiful and well maintained daily. If you choose to stay and relax the whole time you absolutely could with no complaints. They also help you accommodate any excursions or beach days if you like and will take you there for an extra cost. The food is delicious, you can choose to dine at their outdoor restaurant or room service. Everything we tried was amazing and the prices were fair. Gracias por todo!
