Rooms were clean and employees were helpful! We had a little trouble with the ac but they were very attentive and brought fans right away until we got it squared away. They also helped with activity recommendations and bookings. This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica and we have stayed at many wonderful places- but none as amazing as CanaVida. I have been traveling to Costa Rica since 1990 and I can tell you Canavida is one of the best values ever. From the initial communication and through the entire stay I was impressed. The condo we stayed at was perfect. Clean, well appointed, ocean views right out the back sliding glass doors, etc. I could go on. This is 100% a place I would highly recommend when in the Dominical/Uvita area. Just make sure to get a 4x4 to make access to the property as it is up the hill a little but do not let that discourage you. The location is far enough from the busy town of Dominical and Uvita yet close enough to go into for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. If you want the hustle and bustle of a city, this place isn't for you. But if you want to be in the middle of nature with spectacular views, this place is heaven. The road was fine, but we were glad we had a 4x4 with high clearance. The place was clean, sizable, and had all the amenities needed. The pool outside had gorgeous views. This place really makes you feel like you are in nature and we saw many birds (toucans, parrots, guan and turkey vultures). We heard the monkeys late in the evening and at night but never did lay eyes on them. From our table outside we could see the boats chasing the whales while we ate breakfast. We could see the whales spout/blow and even could see the tails as they eventually dove deep. Hotels dot com screwed up the reservation, but Jessica at the property did everything she could and made sure I️ have accommodations for my trip. She’s there to help and does a great job at that. The road going to the site is dirt, but that’s expected in CR. The pool at the smaller condos is amazing. Infinity, with fantastic views and the right depth to hang out and enjoy life.
