"We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de l’Ecluse. The property was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent for exploring Neuchâtel, especially the lakefront, the Collegiate Church, and the castle area, all within easy walking distance. A couple of maintenance issues could use attention — the toilet seat in our room was loose and the shower drain cover kept coming off during use. The room was also quite warm at night. "It looks like the business is starting from scratch with this econcierge thing. I think they need experience to find the correct balance. I was there for two days, the only rubbish bin in my room was a very small one in the bathroom. It may work for one night stay but if someone stay few days they may fill up the room with rubbish. Experience should put these new business niggles right."

"This is an excellent hotel for what it is, a basic hotel. The room is comfortable, shower is good and it had a balcony as well as a table where one can work, relax or eat. The hotel has a restaurant and serves a nice breakfast. Hotel staff is friendly."
