Quiet and peaceful location. The cottage is very cute and cozy.The host was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions.Great area for gravel cycling.

While the cottage has potential, several serious issues should be addressed and disclosed honestly. Parking is poorly marked. We had to text to find where it was and was told it was beside a business located at street level. The hill to the cottage is approximately a 40 degree incline, and about 180 feet downhill to the cottage. Guests are expected to move luggage down this extremely steep slope through grass, with no path or lighting. It is dangerously slippery when wet, especially in the morning because of dew and after rainfall. There is also a small hill to the porch and no steps down. We were left only one roll of toilet paper and two towels for two people staying a week. The bedroom can't accommodate the oversized king bed and large dresser leaving a foot of access on one side. The duvet cover was inside out, upside down and visibly dirty, with black streaks and what appeared to be a footprint.The kitchen also raised cleanliness and safety concerns: no accessible outlets, a loose light fixture, dirty cookware, and a greasy, dusty blind behind the stove. The BBQ was also dirty, and the firepit was full of water and unusable.Outside, the grass surrounding the cottage was covered in goose droppings. The cottage also uses lake water, yet no clear information was provided about whether it was safe to drink.The hill access, dirty bedding, kitchen issues, unusable amenities and lake-water system should clearly disclosed.
