Find the Best Cavendish Bed and Breakfast

"This stay was our first time in PEI and it most certainly exceeded all our expectations! Kevin and Lourdes, our hosts, were most welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we maximized the benefit of our stay. Our stay was somewhat peculiar given the time of our visit, prior to the start of tourist season in the Cavendish. They let us know ahead of time what to expect as far as available attractions. We weren't necessarily looking for entertainment as much as we were seeking a week where we could "leave it all behind" and just relax. The Island Gales cottage during our stay provided the perfect setting for such a need. I was practically hypnotized sitting on the front porch, watching the trees swaying in the wind. The gusts cutting through the trees almost sound like waves crashing on the shore! And yet, services like grocery stores and restaurants were only a 10-15 minute drive, so isolation and access were in near perfect balance. PEI in general was a delight to drive around, especially during the time of our stay as there was no in-season tourist traffic to negotiate around. We already miss it, and we can't wait until we're able to visit again. Thank you so much, Kevin and Lourdes!"

"Easy to get to tourist areas & downtown, reception was friendly & helpful from where to eat, how to get u-ride drivers when we needed, we axtually extended out stay an extra day before going back to Halifax. Hats off to Kerstine, she went over & above to make our stay great. "

"Breakfast was pretty good with quite a few options. Enjoyed that the room had a sofa however the bed was uncomfortable. The room also had a microwave and fridge which was helpful. The gym was quite nice. The room and eating area could have a bit more attention from cleaning staff. The front desk staff were not that friendly. There was an issue with the toilet running constantly."

"The listing said there was not an elevator but was not expecting the unit to be on a second level. They were proactive advising as it was off season there were limited restaurants open. The hot water wasn’t working but they immediately took care of the issue and were very attentive to this issue. All necessary items were available in the kitchen. "
