Stayed for one night with my boyfriend, to get a break from it all and this was definitely the right place. Nothing was too much trouble, facilities great, bar food gorgeous, lovely atmosphere and tidy rooms. We actually had a bit of a hiccup from expedia as they sold a family room with 2 double beds that the hotel didnt have.
The receptionist Fluer (apologies if name spelt incorrect), was very helpful, polite and she made the stay that extra bit special for us and we recieved a...

We return to the forge after 10year .this is where we got married and I was still as wonderful. And not far from the centre of Gretna . We had dinner in the restaurant there and the food was delicious and lots of it .We returned back to out room to find a bottle of bubbles to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary compliments from the Mill..And breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast and very nice .The staff then and now are still amazing always smiling and helpful. I would and always do...

Paul and Alison were great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Paul even picked us up from the train station as we couldn't get a cab.
Food was hot and great portions. Would definitely recommend, great value for money 🙂

We stayed here from 27 November 15 to 1st December 15 and had a fantastic time. They couldn't do enough for us and were always there to give information when we asked. They even catered for my fiances breakfast of a burger every morning - if that's not customer service and going the extra mile I don't know what is. We look forward to having our wedding reception there in June 2016 and hopefully we will get to visit again before then. Can't recommend enough - great food great atmosphere very...

Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc.

My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again on our way home from Scotland in a week and am looking forward to it. The coked breakfast is huge and really good, as is the porridge.
