Traces of the Romans are evident on the territory with the remains of bridges, objects and lime quarries; from literary sources it is clear that the village of Velva, in the municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese. In the municipal area there is the possibility to visit ancient bridges and roads from the Roman era and also you can admire a Roman refueling station and tavern, a rare thing because there are few finds of such works along the Roman roads, in this case along the Via Aurelia. Wir wurden gut empfangen und alle Örtlichkeiten gezeigt. Die Wohnung war gemütlich und sauber. In der Küche war alles zu finden was man brauchte. Auch im Garten mit den drei Terrassen war angenehm mit einer Aussicht über das Tal und die nächsten Ortschaften. Die meisten Wege haben wir mit Busse und Bahn gemacht,, was sehr angenehm war. Carlo war ein toller Gastgeber, der uns mit zahlreichen Tipps zur Verfügung stand. Die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung und den Bilder. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit und die ruhige Lage. Ich kann die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen, wenn die Fahrt bis zur nächst größeren Hauptstraße nicht stört. Die Wohnung ist sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet und abseits der touristischen Massen. Auch zu viert haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir haben zusätzlich zu den bereits genannten Zielen einen Abstecher auf den Monte Alpe (ca. 1000m) gemacht, wo wir über viele Silberdisteln gestaunt haben. Die Einwohner des Ortes und Carlo waren sehr nett zu uns. Carlo spricht gut Englisch. ##### Angela M. Wir waren zu zweit eine Woche in der oberen, wunderschönen Wohnung und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie ist mit einem liebevollen und gekonnten Mix aus Antiquitäten von Carlos Vorfahren wie auch schönen Ikea-Möbeln ausgestattet und war sehr sauber. Auch zu viert wäre die obere Wohnung groß genug. Die Küche ist für Selbstversorger sehr gut ausgestattet. Miniabzug: keine Spülmaschine, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Die Kommunikation mit Carlo bereits vor dem Urlaub lief hervorragend. Die Begrüßung samt leckerem Wein und Focaccia klasse! Er ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter, engagierter, warmherziger Gastgeber, der einen aber auch in Ruhe zu lassen weiß, wenn man ohne seine Ausflugstipps klar kommt. Die Lage in dem ruhigen Bergdorf mit Apotheke, kleinem Supermarkt, Bar, Metzger und Bäcker in der Nähe ist erholsam und praktisch. In kurzer Zeit erreicht man den Bahnhof in Sestri Levante, von dem man am besten per Bahn die traumhafte Revieraküste erkundet. Wir haben Wanderungen im Cinque Terre (je fitter man ist und höher läuft, desto weniger Touristen!), Bootsausflüge (Portofino, San Fruttuoso, Camogli) und auch den Strand in Sestri Levante genossen. Abends saßen wir gern im gepflegten Garten und haben die Aussicht zu den anderen Dörfern geliebt. Ein bißchen haben dabei die kleinen Lampen gestört, die durch Bewegungsmelder oft angingen. Insgesamt können wir Carlos Haus und die ligurische Küste sehr empfehlen. Wir sagen danke und kommen gerne mal wieder! ##### Petra B. Die Wohnung ist wie in den vorherigen Beschreibungen sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, alles neu und sehr sauber. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Wir wurden mit kulinarischen Kostbarkeiten der Region empfangen. Der Gastgeber Carlo ist sehr freundlich, zurückhaltend, war telefonisch immer erreichbar und ist auf unsere Anliegen sofort eingegangen. Wir haben alle Mahlzeiten im Garten eingenommen und konnten die schöne Aussicht ins Tal genießen. Der gepflegte Garten verfügt über unterschiedlichste Sitzgelegenheiten und Gartenduschen. Stayed 6 nights in Jul 2019 ### 8/10 Good #### Lauren M. 13 Aug 2018 #### Logement bien équipé et rénové avec soin Le logement est dans les montagnes, à 15min de Sestri Levante et donc isolé de l'agitation que l'on peut avoir dans les grandes villes.Bien équipé dans l'ensemble et tres propre.L'espace extérieur est très sympa mais difficilement exploitable car pas d'accès direct au logement.Carlo a été accueillant et est resté discret le reste du séjour.Manquait un sechoir à linge dans le logement,élément indispensable au revenir de la plage ou pour faire des machines (Carlo nous a d'ailleurs permis d'en faire tourner une chez lui,dans l'appartement du dessous).L'accès au logement se fait par de nombreuses marches (à savoir quand on a des enfants en bas âge).Très bon séjour à Castiglione Chiavarese. ##### Lauren M.
