We were assigned a room that was next to a noisy restaurant and asked for a less noisy room. The lady then put us is a back room facing a wall. I asked her for a room looking towards the sea instead. She said no, because we booked through Expedia and those rooms cost more. I said that there were many empty rooms (I could see the keys in the room slots behind her) and I don't feel that we should be stuck in a room looking at a wall. She snapped at me and said ok and gave us another room, It was the room right above the first room we assigned with a small side view of the sea. At this point we just gave up because she was so rude about us asking for a better room. Later we had to listen to her yelling at the other workers. Made it an uncomfortable situation. Later she was better, but it was not what we are used to being treated by front desk staff at a hotel. The Air conditioner and refrigerator were weak. Did not cool our room and did not cool our beverages. No ice machines.

Not value for money hotel with rude staff
We stayed in this hotel only one night . Staff speaks English just a bit. Room is out dated. Bed lining has holes. Bed is uncomfortable. It reminded me a bed in Russian overnight train. Table lamps do not work properly. Hair dryer is like you would have in swimming pool and half broken. Broken cord is duct taped. Shower drain would not drain properly. You just stand in pool of water and pray it would not go over the lip. When I first moved shower curtain I saw an insect - diplura. It is horrible! Hotel has three floors but there is NO LIFT. Breakfast was OK for me but not for my husband. There was a variety of sweet food but not much savoury. Breakfast is not a buffer it is what you are given on your table. We were given 2 croissants, 2 pots of yogurt, fruit, two small slices of salami and two slices of cheese. As I said it was OK for me but for man it is not good. PARKING has only 5 parking bays to which you have to walk about 5 min. Parking is not secure and area is a bit rough. If you did not get parking in hotel parking then there is on street parking. 30 cents per 30 min.

The staff is very helpful and courteous. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bed too. All in all, and nice little hotel.

The welcome received was good. The room was clean. Staff were helpful. The hotel restaurant is good with plenty of variety. The breakfast was one of the best my wife and I had in Sicily. The only downside was that there is no lift and generally is in need of some TLC.

Apart from the fact that they initially tried to give us a normal double room instead of the one with a sea view that we had actually paid for, we had no complaints. That said, the corridors echo so it can seem quite noisy.
