Family and I had a great time at Gardaland Magic hotel. Facilities and staff were great. Only downside was the cost of the evening meals, very expensive.
We stopped for one night, and the kids loved it. The safe had a little game where they had to find clues to guess the safe combination to win a prize, which was great. Everything was clean and the shuttle bus service was great for getting to and from the theme park easily
Our kids loved the place and the pool! We as parent loved that it was very quiet, which is the opposite of what you would expect.
Hotel has plenty of parking and very close to the park. We liked it so much that ended up extending 3 more nights.
The themed rooms were cool for the kids. They really enjoyed that. Unfortunately our bathrooms smelled really bad at two different times and hotel said that it’s because we chose not to have house cleaning but the reality is that we’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had an issue like this. It came through the plumbing or something as the bathroom smelled like urine. The other thing is that the pool closed at 7:30 PM. Which I thought was very early sitting. It was still very hot out and very bright out. They also make you wear hair caps in the pool so everybody looks like a bunch of synchronized swimmers. The staff was nice though. Parking was nice and easy. Minus this little mishap and the pool closing earlier than we wanted the kids really enjoyed the rooms. The room prices were reasonable as well.
Everything went smoothly at check-in. Our room was lovely. The kids loved solving the clues to find the prize. For such a big room, the price was great. The pool was just outside our room and we enjoyed it and had some snacks at the pool bar. The food wasn't great there. The hotel is strange with the lobby in one building and the rooms in other unconnected buildings. The staff were efficient but not friendly or particularly helpful. Check out at 11 felt a bit rushed. If I were going again I'd stay in the Gardaland Hotel. This seemed to have a better atmosphere with everything in the one building.
Great stay at the Magic Hotel. My kids loved it... the room was very clean and spacey, equipped with A/C. Room cleaning every day, with fresh towels, water, etc.free parking and friendly staff.
Of nagatives were: the pool rules were very strict and strange. Unable to throw our kids in the air and the need to cover the hair while swimming was strange. The lifeguards should stop using their whistle so much. The onsite bar/kiosk was very expensive as was everything else, like the food at the resturant.
Good base with pool for exploring Lake Garda. Shuttle bus runs from the station to the park, and then the Park to hotel. If you don’t have a car you would need to get taxis.
The shower looked like it could use a really good scrub but otherwise the room looks as nice. The staff however were not very helpful at all. At check in, the reception seemed almost irritated we had arrived and when the safe in our room wouldn’t work, the attendant that they had sent up said “well I don’t know, not my problem, not my job” so someone else had to come. They seemed like it was an issue if we even asked a question about anything so we didn’t bother after that. The room itself was fun for our son so that was good at least. We did have fun going to Gardaland and it was nice to be able to be there quickly. We didn’t bother going to eat at the hotel at all.
A great property when you’ve got kids. Loads to do and you can eat and drink there if you don’t want to go into town. There is a great shuttle to Gardaland and you can get to town from there but it would be helpful if there was a clearer timetable as you could end up loosing 30 mins if you just miss a bus but you’re never sure if it’s timings. The only real negative is taxi prices, if you do miss the bus an uber is about €40 for a 3 mile trip. Gardaland theme park is amazing I don’t know why I hadn’t heard of it before, loads and loads to do for kids of all ages as well as the adults and the local town of Peschiera del Garda is absolutely stunning. We’ll defo be back
