"Perfect apartment for a ski vacation in Val Thorens! The apartment is near plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, and it is in the center of town. In addition, the apartment is perfectly located for skiing and snowboarding!!"

"The hotel is centered around their restaurant which superb.
Also the breakfast is unconventional and made of the finest ingredients.
The spa is small but lovely and made with the finest taking care of details.
A place which is a true delight "

"The hotel is relatively new and therefore the facilities are in great conditions. The decorations and furniture give the place a nice ambience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed staying at Best Western in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne."
"Check in was so simple, staff were amazing and helpful at each interaction. The restaurant was busy with the Tour being in town but the staff were brilliant.
Food was awesome too.
Definitely worthy of more than a couple of stars. "
"We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a fairly low key hotel in a low key town but very peaceful and friendly. The owners are very family focussed and there is a children’s toy area in the corner of the small restaurant. There’s a boot room downstairs for storing ski gear (and I believe my bikes in the summer). The set and a la carte menus are good if limited in choice which suited us. It’s necessary to book…as is the case with anywhere in Termignon and the other Val Cenis villages. "
"Absolutatemente lamentable. Las sillas rotas, la fregona del siglo pasado, la luz del baño fundida, el suelo pegajoso, ceniceros sin limpiar... y lo peor... NO HABIA SABANAS NI TOALLAS, ni responden a los email o las llamadas!!!!"
"The beds are disgusting and wrapped in PLASTIC, the pillows seemed to be picked up from the street. No towels, no wifi, I felt like sleeping at the cheapest motel ever.
Fortunately we only stayed one night 🙈🙈

"Hotel décevant vu le prix. La chambre était vieille, peinture abîmée, équipement vétuste... La cage d'escalier sentait l'urine, la propreté laisse à désirer en général. Le personnel était cependant aimable et attentif, et le petit déjeûner correct. Mais pour 200€ la nuit, on s'attendait vraiment à mieux, surtout que les photos ne reflètent pas du tout la chambre où nous avons dormi..."
"Staff were amazing and food was good however the hotel is in pooor condition
Wall paper falling off the walls everywhere
Carpets are coming up in all the corridors "

"Basic, need updating. Just make sure you know which side you’re staying on. Otherwise did the job. "
"Lovely hotel - literally ski in/ski out, with the slopes right outside the doorstep (and a helpful ski locker in the basement). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitiely recommended for an upmarket experience on the ski slopes!"
"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
"Stayed at Hotel Marielle for three nights for a Spring snowboarding trip with my teenage son. Location is excellent right on the snow front with ski in ski put directly to the main lifts in Val Thorens. Reception, restaurant and bar staff were friendly professional, knowledgable and most importantly helpful and really made the stay a real pleasure. Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the snow front. The terrace bar below does play music late afternoon till about 6 or 7 which adds to the buzz of the snow front location but if you want a quiet room better to ask for one at the back. Good selection of food options for breakfast and dinner (we did half board). Service gets a bit overwhelmed at peak pre ski school time 8.15 to 8.45am (our visit was in school holidays) with a few items running out on the buffet but they are quickly replaced if you ask. A second coffee machine might help for peak times! Decor is lovely - has a bit of a Parisian Boutique hotel feel to it. Huge spa with steam room and massive Sauna with a window onto the snow front. Although my son is a teenager now I thought the hotel was well set up for smaller children with lots staying, the ESF ski school straight out front and a decent games room. Val Thorens wa s great for Spring skiing lent to of snow relative to resorts further down the valley and the multitude of lifts meant no big queues. Would definitely stay here again. "
"There was not a lot of information regarding check-in etcetera, and there are limited front desk hours. The common areas are quite dismal. However the room was well stocked and clean. Twin beds. You can lock up skis near lobby. A two minute walk to the slopes. If you are desiring comfort and amenities, this is not your place. However if you come to ski with a friend and don't mind basic accommodations, this place is not bad. "
"Great ski in / ski out! 24hr check-in available at the property opposite which made things easier. Good boot room as well. Perfect for an easy week of skiing "
MONTANA VILLAGE - Fantastic Location With Direct Ski In/Ski Out Access + Views
10/10 Excellent
"An epic week in Val Thoren enabled in no small part by the use of this apartment. The apartment had everything we needed for the week and whilst it is a little dated, it has a shabby chic to it that most familiar with ski apartments would fully understand. We travelled as 2 couples and found the apartment to be perfect for the week. While I understand 6 could be accommodated, I think this would take away from the great space. Due to dietary requirements we cooked in the apartment 4 of the 7 nights we were in VT and other than getting used to the electric oven and realising there were only 2 serviceable hobs we had no issues and managed to cook Cottage Pie, Sausage Pasta, Chilli and Beef stew (just to show sufficient kitchen stuff is available to cook). The fantastic location of the apartment meant we often returned for lunch rather than paying for food on the slopes, it really is a 10 second ski/board to the nearest lift! When approaching the apartment we contacted the local host / PoC and we were treated with a super friendly and helpful lady that told us everything we needed to know, couldn't big this up enough after flight delays and travel having someone talk you through everything in such a friendly manner was so welcome. All in all we had a fantastic stay in VT with the apartment being a massive factor in the whole experience."
