Broken air conditioning and the staff didn’t care. It took more than 24 hrs to get a new room.
Quality of sheets really bad.
Poor customer service.

Showers dont really get hot in columbia. Bed was stiff. There was no sauna as listed on expedia. That was the only reason I chose the hotel. Not the greatest condition compared to American hotels. This is my honest review.

Our stay with Atlantic Lux was a great disappointment. We would not recommend this hotel given the much better comparable hotels in Cartagena we subsequently stayed in.
The rooms are old and bathrooms aren't clean. The 1 working elevator is extremely slow, so be prepared to wait a good 15 minutes every time you want to go up or down with suitcases.
The staff takes several days to respond to any communication over Expedia. They responded to our request for a crib 3 days after we had checked-out (request sent weeks in advance). We had to laugh.
Lastly, we paid for a suite with a closed bedroom as we were traveling with a baby. The hotel made a mistake with the reservation and put us in a standard room. As opposed to simply crediting the difference in price, it took us contesting the charge on our credit card. After several weeks of dealing with them, our credit card immediately agreed with the dispute and forced them to reimburse us the difference.
Overall, we recommend avoiding this hotel. We stayed in 2 other hotels in this area and each was a vast improvement over Atlantic Lux.
Terrible check in. Was given a standard room where u could hear animals going crazy. I had to convince them i paid for a premium room. I finally got it but It still didnt match the description. Fine. Then another couple was given a key to our room and walked in on us getting ready to shower. I had to get my key re made every single day, their payment system malfunctioned and it wasnt made clear to me what happened w my billing. Staff never apologized for anything. But the couple that walked in on us did.
Needs a lots improvements and maintenance, the AC it was dripping water went you put the settings in cool so you have to use only fan option, (somebody move the bed directly in front of the AC, Lol) the safe not working, after you come from outside you want to hanging your stuff not to put it in the floor or bed and another little things
One of the attendents was insanely rude and entered my room without a knock or any warning and then proceeded to bother me about check out 3 hours before i had to check out !!! I hadn't even got breakfast yet .....ill never stay at the Atlantic lux again .....huge let down compared to 6 months ago
This hotel was horrible, not only did the elevator stop working at some point and that we had a walk up 13 floors but the service is horrible and the rooms are old and outdated and the wall are cracked. The drawers are broken on the dresser and on the desk there is mildew in the hallway of where the rooms are and the staff is nasty and rude and they don’t give you a refund

Attention at the front desk is very poor I have to keep calling ask for Ac. For the light I have to used the key the didn't mention at all. The sheets where dirty yellow spots 😞 I Asone of the elevators doesn't work properly So I have to walk the stairs to get to the room rroom. chaNextreturn I'll ask for others place
I would rate this hotel a 8.5 out of 10. Really good

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The staff was friendly and it was close to the beach. I didn’t take advantage of the amenities they had (gym, pool, casino) but overall my stay was good.
The property itself was horrible. Holes inbthe bathroom walls, missing toilet paper holder or shelves onbthe shower. Holes and cracks all over the bedroom
Booked Junior Suite with 2 beds and were given a regular room with 1 bed, was able to eventually get a room with 2 beds but just a very basic room, not a suite. Very weak Wi-Fi that keeps disconnecting and they did not fix it! Overall a poor experience.

The Atlantic Lux is a great hotel for the money. A few things that I think need to change is the beds are so hard they are uncomfortable; when the rooms were cleaned they just swept and made the beds. This is okay if I were told upfront. And the most annoying thing is the elevator service at the hotel is terrible. There were times it would take up to ten minutes to travel from the 12th floor to the lobby due to waiting for one of two elevators; one being a service elevator that may stop on every floor. However, there is a notice in the service elevator advising of this possibility.
On a positive note, the staff was very accomodating, especially Oscar at the front desk.
I will stay here again on a return trip to Cartagena.
It was a nice hotel . Room was small but has balcony. Service was ok . Breakfast was so so . It was a great location and you can find pretty much everything. Beach was close by. I will recommend this hotel for a short stay.
I love the hotel Lux it’s a amazing hotel especially at the price . It’s honestly just as nice as the big corporate hotels at half the price . My only complaint is I was traveling with a friend and they had to leave after me . I asked the hotel before I left if there was any charges and they said no but when she left they made her pay for something,, I even asked before I left because I did not want her to have to pay anything . But over all it’s a really great hotel ,, good hot water and great AC and very clean and well kept

I love this hotel it’s very clean and they have great service . The room is small but what do you expect for the price . Breakfast is what is to be expected in a included breakfast but far exceeds a continental . I will be returning to this hotel when I return to Cartagina

All was good . Breakfast very good and clean . The hotel en a nice street a bit noisy but was ok
This isn’t a four star property maybe 3 1/2 3 stars at best, it’s run down the beds remind me of the county jail and I’m glad this is, is a one and done outta here tomorrow kind of stay. One and done and never again

The staff and restaurant is excellent. HOWEVER, no TV ...no signal...not good. We were told the provider had a problem that would be resolved at any moment. It didn't happened. Other than that, the service and conditions, facilities, pool,gym, breakfast, all great.
