"Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice and very helpful."

Sitting at the pool, reading and spending time taking in the breathtaking views with a bottle of wine. "For us, this was a great choice. A quiet location and we had a view of the river from our room and also from the common area patios. The hotel clerk gave us excellent advice to take the scenic train from the station across the street which was a wonderful experience. He also showed us a scenic drive through the wine country with a detour to a lookout point which was breathtaking. However this is a very isolated location with one restaurant next door and one across the street. We did have a great meal at the next door restaurant. But if you are looking for lots of dining options this is not the place to stay. The room itself was a bit small and not recently updated. But it was very quiet and we had the window open all night with a nice breeze off the river. Breakfast was a full buffet with lots of options. "
