Landhaus zur Linde am Herrnkopf

The linden tree at Herrnkopf, designated a natural monument, and the country house have formed a single entity for over 160 years. Set within a botanically fascinating 10,000-square-meter property featuring mature trees (sequoias, trumpet trees, tulip trees, ginkgoes, and cedars) and rare wild plants, this romantic holiday home is the ideal place for peace and relaxation in the healthy air of the Palatinate Forest. A private circular hiking trail leads through a small forest and past the sandstone-framed spring to a wet meadow with wild orchids (Dactylorhiza majalis, Listera ovata).
The historic building, with its shutters and old leaded glass, has a wine tavern-like atmosphere in the dining area. The modern kitchen is separated by an inviting bar. A tiled stove, fireplace, and corner bench create a particularly cosy atmosphere. The combination of Baroque and Biedermeier furniture with modern amenities reflects the house’s philosophy. A Finnish sauna is available for guests. For children, there is a playground (table tennis, badminton, football goal) in front of the house.
