  • Ideal for couples, small families or travelers passing through. Our two bedroom apartment is is the perfect beach bungalow. Walking distance to the beach, quaint downtown Carlsbad, and much much more. 10 minute drive from the Carlsbad Airport (CLD). This BRAND new residence highlights a full kitchenette and laundry. The apartment comfortably sleeps six with queen size beds in the dual master bedrooms and a full sized sofa bed in the family room. The home features Streaming TV and WIFI. The apartment also features full laundry facilities.

    The kitchenette is stocked with dishes, silverware; there's also a refrigerator/freezer, single burner induction cooktop, pots/pans, microwave, toaster oven / air fryer and coffee maker. Nearly all that you need while on vacation in this beach community.

    Located in northern Carlsbad, we are 5 minutes from Legoland, 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, and less than an hour from Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, Hollywood, Universal Studios, and many other southern California attractions are well within close driving distance. Our home is very centrally located. Many features are well within walking distance or a short drive. The bus and train terminal is also within walking distance.

    IMPORTANT: Due to potential allergies, we prefer no pets or smoking. Off street parking is offered (1 car only). Please note the apartment is located down (4) stairs. STVR Permit # BLRE013225-02-2023

Everything about this place was perfect! I was born and raised in the area and know what a value this place is. The hosts go above and beyond and we had a spectacular family trip. We will definitely stay here again...and again.

The place is wonderfully updated, comfortable and clean. I would have appreciated being warned about close it is to the freeway and the subsequent noise but other than that, it was lovely. Views are great.

First time renting a VRBO and the owners made the process very easy. The property was as described with the easy walk to the village/ Carlsbad beaches, we wound up walking back and forth everyday of our stay. Only wish I had from the kids was for a couple of e-bikes, but otherwise I would and hopefully will stay again soon!

Great Location

This is a great location and very clean and well appointed property. The location was great for our small family trip to Legoland and Sea World. We also enjoyed the dinning in Carlsbad Village. This is a great property for the value it provided.

Family Vacation

Adorable vrbo exactly as described. We had three adults and two grandsons. Spent a fun-filled day at Legoland, and then a day at Carlsbad State Beach (which has lifeguards). The place had everything we needed.

Mother daughter trip

Anniversary getaway

The property was as described and the hosts, Joel and Heather, were very communicative. We enjoyed our stay and we will stay here again. The view of the lagoon was beautiful, especially at sunset. We loved watching the pelicans and the cranes. Everything we needed was a very short drive away. 10/10 highly recommended!

Wonderful space

This is a great place to stay, everything you could need. If it wasn't in the apartment the owner's, who live upstairs, offered to help. Although we've been to carlsbad a few times, this was our first stay in a VRBO, well worth it to have your own space. We'll definitely be using this again for our next visit!

Trip to Paradise

This accommodation was just what our family needed! The home is modern, clean, and cozy. It fit our family of 6 comfortably and is close to all the things we were interested in seeing in San Diego. My children loved to watch the lagoon in the mornings and afternoons and just chat with their grandfather. It was a fantastic trip, thank you.

Felt Like Home

This is a fantastic place for an extended multi-week stay in Carlsbad. Joel & Heather are respectful, kind, and helpful hosts. It is roomy and clean. Everything works well. The view of Buena Vista Lagoon is absolutely stunning. The patio is a wonderful place to relax. By the time we checked out we really felt like we were moving away from home.

Carlsbad Lagoon overlook

This is a very well appointed condo. It had a cute little studio kitchen, big windows which overlooked the lagoon and very comfortable beds. The only downside was it is very close to a freeway and outside is quite noisy. However inside it is muffled quite well.

Heather was wonderful. She happened to be out when we arrived and greeted us as well as answered any of our questions along with the willingness to be contacted for any problems or questions, which we didn't have any. We really enjoyed our stay. It had a nice laundry room, a small kitchen area which was amole for what we needed. The bedrooms we a good size and the bathroom was very spacious. There is the road noise but they provide ear plugs if you are bothered by it. We weren't. It was a white noise to go to sleep by. The location was great as well. You are very close to a large amount of ships, restaurants, the beach, roughly 35 min from the San Diego Zoo and easy access to the highway. We would definitely stay there again.

A little slice of paradise

The view of the lagoon in the early morning is enchanting. Birds sitting on the fencing, frogs croaking. It is very peaceful. I had my coffee out there. Everything we needed was right at hand. There was some concern about the traffic noise from the 5. The house is well sound proofed and I didn’t find it overly intrusive sitting outside.

Stay in Paradise

We arrived at 1 am was very well lighted. Was a little confusing finding the entrance… the gate that went down the path should have been marked apartment this way. It looked like a wall not like a gate. The apartment was very cute and very comfortable! The living room has some blinds but does not block out the bright sun was difficult to visit in the living room! A 10 minute drive to the beach not walkable! Central located
