Beat staff ever!
I normally don’t take the time to write a review but the staff at this hotel were so good that I needed to make sure I wrote a review to tell people about it. The staff went above and beyond to try to help with our accommodations. He was so nice! He made our trip be extraordinary. From helping us get a cab to tieing a tie, he did everything he could to help us and make our stay pleasant. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the stay, hotel is clean, well located, and opposite a very good restaurant in Acqua Dolce. Ferry terminal is at the door step, and the area is quiet, relaxed and wonderful. Rooms are smallish, as with most in Europe, but value fir money here is excellent, as was the hotel service

Fabulous Hotel
This hotel is amazing. The views are spectacular, the service is outstanding and the food is delicious. We were here for 5 nights and loved it.

We had a very friendly and helpful greeting. The onsite restaurant is closed Tuesdays but we were helped to make a booking at the superb restaurant nearby (Aqua Dolce) Parking was easy in the hotels reserved spaces in a shared car park next door. Views from hotel terrace and our room were amazing. Cannot recomnend this hotel enough.

Excellent hospitality, friendliness and service. Made us feel like we were at home with family. Attended us above and beyond for anything. Will definitely come back here many times!!! We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lago Como.

Good location, kind helpful staff, and a big comfy bed with a view. Can't ask for much more. The pizza at the restaurant is some of the best we had while in Italy. The included reakfast is delicious as well. No fridge or safe in the room but WiFi and air conditioning work very well. Would definitely stay here again

Very friendly staff.
The hotel is overlooking Como lake and has a nice setting area adjacent to the lake. Very good breakfast with a nice view to the lake. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. Excellent rating and I recommend them strongly.

Picturesque and Romantic Lake Como Escape!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Orso Bruno. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a room with a lake view and balcony, and the views of Lake Como were breathtaking. The ferry stops 3 times a day right in front of the hotel, and we had a memorable day traveling to Bellagio and back. Also, the C20 bus stops right in front of the hotel. The day we arrived, we mistakenly took the C10 bus from Como to the Carate-Urio stop, but it dropped us off higher up the mountain. Thankfully, we met a kind woman named Marta who showed us the way down the cobblestone path into Urio. It was tough with two suitcases, but we struck up a conversation with Marta, and ended befriending her and meeting up with her the next day! The breakfast was fantastic (we still talk about it!) and our stay was just wonderful in every way. Keep in mind that Urio is a very small, quiet town north of Como, and there is not a lot of activity there. Which was just fine for us. If you want a quiet, romantic escape on Lake Como, this is the place!

Great view and pizza!
This is a gem of a hotel. Simple but effective and an incredible view. The ferry is also right outside for a hop on / hop off adventure. The pizza/risotto in the restaurant is fantastic and the breakfast is traditional with cheese and meats, fresh fruit and pastries. Parking is very easy as the hotel has reserved spaces. The roads are fun, a tad narrow but add to the whole experience. The friendly staff booked us a boat hire in the next village along and were happy to advise on ferry times and places to eat. Overall a great stay. :) The wine bar down stairs is also superb!!

Great hotel on the banks of Lake Como
From the minute we arrived we loved this place. This hotel is exactly as good as the photos show. The owners were so nice and it felt like a family hotel. Our room was compact but very comfortable. They even did a bag of washing for us which after 4 weeks on the road was very welcome. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one evening and breakfast every morning. We spent a day on the lake using the ferries to get around and the owners were very helpful in telling us which ferries to take etc. We got off the ferry in the next small village Moltrasio and had a great meal at La Baia di Moltrasio and then walked back to Orso Bruno I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was a highlight of our holiday.

Poor hotel
There was some chemical odour in our room, even the open windows didn't help. The view is beautiful, but the road is under hotel Windows, so it's very noisy. Breakfast buffet is very poor.

Quite, clean and romantic place
The hotel is near the lake. Make sure you have a proper navigation to get to the hotel. Our navigation system wasn't able to find the given street name. It took us quite a time to get there.

Overnight stop Lake Como Hotel Orso Bruno
We stayed at Hotel Orso Bruno for one night while travelling through Italy. Asked for a room with a view of Lake Como, which we did have, although a very small view as the Hotel is not lakeside but across the narrow road and there are buildings opposite. The roads around Lake Como are very narrow and busy,there are only a few touristy spots along the road. Where Hotel Orso Bruno is situated there is not much else around. Parking for around 3 cars is available opposite the hotel,and is chargeable, but reception told us that there is free public parking, not sure where that is though. The Hotel restaurant serves mainly pizza and pasta dishes,there is a cafe underneath the restaurant.The staff were friendly and the room clean and comfortable. I would not like to stay more than one or two nights due to the position of the hotel.No drinks making facilities in the room.

Cozy family run hotel on Lake Como
We loved our stay at Hotel Orso Bruno. It's run by a sweet couple who were very helpful. The staff were responsive and attentive and the breakfast buffet was well stocked. One thing we loved was that immediately outside the front door lay a bus stop and the water taxi pier. This made getting around, up and down the lake and to Como, really easy. Also, along the hillside above the hotel lay a neighborhood of small summer cottages accessible, essentially, only on foot. We hiked up the cobbled walkway through the charming neighborhood quite a ways up the hillside and eventually passed all the cottages onto a slope of terraces at the top of which was a small sanctuary/church. The views across, and up and down the lake were stunning at dawn. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. -Richard

If you're looking for nightlife and shopping, this is not your place. If you're looking for a peaceful lake experience - it would be hard to beat the Orso Bruno! Easy access to Como by either bus or boat ( the stop is across the street) , and good food in the restaurant . Family owned and run, great service and clean well appointed rooms. If we ever get back to Lago Como, this would be my first choice!

Lovely owners, very sweet hotel!
We were given a warm welcome. The owners are a friendly young couple and the hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is situated right next to the ferry stop which is convenient. The area is very quiet which is lovely for relaxing thought the difficulty at lake como is, unless you are at a restaurant, it's hard to find a place just to sit and enjoy the lake so it becomes very expensive. The hotel however suited our needs very well. Thank you!

Great Stay!
This hotel is not in a town that has a lot of nightlife but if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a home base to visit other towns, this place is perfect. The owners, Antonia and Samuel were very helpful in finding our way to the other towns on the lake. There is a ferry that stops directly across from the hotel. The hotel restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. There is another restaurant across from the hotel but we did not try it. We had room 204 which was very clean and good size. . The bathroom was nicely finished and good size also. It has a shower that is much bigger than most European hotel showers. The balcony looks over the lake and was nice to sit and watch people go by.

Beware of location
If you do not have a car I would advise you to avoid this hotel as the bus and boat services are limited. The hotel also kept providing us with misinformation which was frustrating and disappointing.

What an amazing hotel, ran by an amazing couple. Too short of a stay, we will soon be back for a longer weekend for sure. Food was great at the hotel restaurant. We were even given passes to the local swimming area where we laid out. highly recommended.

Hôtel bien situé , confortable, bon petit déjeuner .Un seul petit bémol : l ´hotel a retiré le prix de la chambre ainsi que le prix du parking, qu on avait rajouté un peu plus tard ,sans nous prévenir ,5 jours avant notre arrivée .Donc on a eu un retrait qui ne correspondait pas au montant initial ( le parking ayant été rajouté ) et nous avons dû appeler la banque en France pour savoir qui avait fait ce retrait . Un e-mail lors du retrait par l hôtel pour nous prévenir aurait été plus correct je pense …

Wunderbar kleines Hotel, perfekt für eine Nacht! Eine Tischreservation im Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert da es in Gehdistanz auch keine andere Optionen gibt. Das Essen war hervorragend!

Tolles Hotel mit gutem Restaurant
Das Hote liegt super am Comer See und ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Top Zustand und sehr nettes Personal (trotz Masken). Neben dem Hotel ist auch noch eine super Weinbar, der Bootsanleger und ein weiteres sehr schönes Restaurant (hatte montags leider zu). Absolute Empfehlung

nous avons aimé cet hôtel pour la qualité de ses chambres et nous avons dîné au restaurant c'était très bien petit bémol la situation de l'hôtel bien pour la tranquillité mais il faut la voiture pour tout autre petit bémol nous avons été prélevé de notre carte bleue 2 jours avant de notre arrivée alors que nous avions confirme notre venue c'est dommage c'est la première fois que ça nous arrive je trouve logique comprenne la garantie de la carte bleue par contre illogique de faire le débit avant jour de la prestation

Nous comprenons tout à fait votre déception du retrait de la carte deux jours avant votre arrivée, mais cette procédure permet d'éviter les fraudes qui se produisent malheureusement souvent et cette information est également visible sur le site lors de la réservation.
