The home is in a great location - could not be more convenient for walking to the beach and the shops/restaurants. It was beautifully decorated and VERY clean. We wouldn’t change a thing. Key Lime Cottage is perfectly appointed with everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked, as are the bathrooms. The small sunporch is a perfect place to gate you pets, and the entire backyard is fenced. Key Lime Cottage is less than a two block from the beach, which is beautiful with munificent views. We chose this over other rentals because of: fenced yard, golf cart, proximity to the beach. Cape Charles is a very walkable town, but if you are lugging beach equipment, kids and/or pets, having a golf cart makes life so much easier. This house is also well stocked: bath/shower supplies, towels (oh the towels!), soap, detergent, pots/pans, etc. Just bring clothes and food - they have everything else. The front porch was great for relaxing in between beach time. Outdoor shower (with warm water) was perfect for washing off our sandy feet. Really no negatives to speak of, except that we couldn't stay longer! Would 100% stay here again! ##### Amber S. Lovely, comfortable and clean home accommodated our family of 7\. Wonderful large dining table was perfect for gathering around and for art projects. Streamed movies in the comfy living room. All the beds were very comfortable, and our teens loved the bunk bed room! Enjoyed the front porch and little enclosed back room that opened to the back deck…nice little space for reading, resting, playing guitar. We toured town with the golf cart, kayaked, wandered the beach, relaxed, stayed in and cooked more than going out because we just enjoyed being there! We also enjoyed horseback riding along Cherrystone Creek, farmland and woods with Esperanza Riding Co, visiting the Kiptopeke Wildlife Refuge, and seeing wild ponies at Assateague Island. From the moment we booked the Key Lime Cottage to the moment we left to head home our experience was outstanding! The home is beautiful and full of character and in an absolutely optimal location (1 1/2 block from beach, 1/2 block from park, and 3-4 blocks from Mason Ave). All the perks (kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, and other beach accessories), especially the golf cart really made our stay comfortable. The house was very clean and supplied with more than enough linens and pillows. We especially loved the large dining table that comfortable fit our whole family and how it was open to the living room. The air conditioning was amazing and made the home such a relief from the heat. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many outlets there were especially considering the home was about 100 years old! The front porch was huge with plenty of seating, such a nice way to end each evening. Adam was great with communication through booking and our stay and even let us know that we could check in early.
