  • Cape Utopia - we found utopia in Cape Charles! A fantastic, beach town and historic home with everything you need. Enjoy the park, playground, and running track nearby, sample all the shops, restaurants, & bars 2 streets over on main street, and walk, bike, or drive your golf cart rental to the beach. Then come back to your quiet utopia on a residential street and enjoy the darling front porch, as well as the well-equipped home. We have provided everything! Linens, baby/toddler/kid items, beach chairs, beach towels, and blankets, smart TVs throughout the home, in addition to a kitchen with all your needs. Don't stress over packing, just grab a swimsuit and come enjoy our sweet little beach town! Check out our sister property Cape Serendipty (the other side of the duplex) if you need more space.

Perfect for Small Families

The perfect house for a family with young kids. Clean, comfy, well-appointed and in a great location. Great communication with the owner. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Great vacation home in Cape Charles

We really loved staying at this home. It was stocked with literally everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfortable, it was easy to keep the cottage cool, the location is great, and they were pet friendly which was great for our first vacation with our pup. The home is a great mix of vintage and antique charm but modern amenities - the bathrooms are great!

A Cute House in a Cute Town

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Cape Charles and staying at Cape Utopia. The property was clean and spacious and the neighborhood was really quiet. I particularly liked sitting on the porch in the morning with my coffee, reading my book.

Early October on the Eastern Shore of Virginia

What a great trip! Our first trip to the Eastern Shore and it won't be out last. What a terrific VRBO. It had everything we needed and more. Loved the historic home. Our host, Elizabeth, was attentive and welcoming. We will be back to Cape Charles and we will return to this home. The location was centrally located and we enjoyed our walks to the beach and to the main street area. Can't recommend more highly!

Great little gem in Cape Charles

This property was a great find for our first time in Cape Charles. We stayed with another family and had three young kids. Lots of toys and kid/baby supplies that made our trip easier. FWIW you’ll get the code to get into the house after the cleaners leave on the day of check in. Good communication with the owner.

Perfect getaway

My friends and I loved everything about this house! It’s clean, cozy, and comfortable - felt like visiting an older relative’s home. The AC units in each room worked great to keep it cool and were easy to operate. The front porch is a delightful spot to have a cup of coffee and catch up. We liked being close enough to walk to the beach and into town. We visited shops and restaurants and saw a free concert in the park. We might be back next year!

Mother’s Day/Birthday getaway

We surprised my mom with a trip to Cape Charles. She had never been. so she was delighted. We have stayed at this location before. It is perfect for us. 😊 the house has so much charm and they have thought of everything you could possible need and more. This is our first choice when coming to Cape Charles. See you next trip. 😊

Great house great location

Excellent location. Nice stock of get started essentials. Comfortable beds. Love the covered front porch. Only thing I would have liked is a bigger refrigerator. Lots of little extras like beach towels bad chairs. Great for babies with a pack and play and high chair seat. Tv in all bedrooms. It’s a duplex but I only heard the neighbors slightly once or twice. Not a problem.

Welcoming home in the heart of Cape Charles

We were very glad to call Cape Utopia home during our recent visit to Cape Charles. The location is great, just a block from the park and a few blocks further to the beach. The home was just as advertised and included many thoughtful touches, such as power strips with USB ports, plenty of linens and dishes, beach items, extra seating, sturdy hangers, basic toiletries, more than enough toilet paper (not even the thin scratchy kind!) and paper towels, baby items (we did not need these, but it's lovely they were available), etc. It's clear that lots of thought and intention was put into preparing the home for guests, and we appreciate it. Cape Utopia was a great fit for us, and would happily stay there again!

Cape Utopia was amazing. Everything as pictured. Easy walk to pretty much anywhere in the city. Right down the road from a beautiful park. Elizabeth has thought of so many little details for her wonderfully decorated, old-world charm home. The porch was fabulous for reading and just relaxing.
