Next to Central Park! 2 Blocks 2 Beach/Resturants/Shops Welcome to Cape Glen Haven in the Historic District of Cape Charles, where the porch sitting is top notch! The 1933 Craftsman style home has a fully fenced backyard and is Pet Friendly! Snuggle up next to the fire pit under the twinkle lights and your very own game barn which features, (pool table, skee-ball, ping pong, and corn hole). Plan a day at the beach that's just a short 2 block walk or enjoy Central Park right outside your door. The towns Restaurants and Shops are just stroll down the street (2 blocks away) with boutique shops and restaurants that you can enjoy watching the sunset over the bay. We are right next to Central Park fountain, sit on the porch and listen to concerts in the park! Inside Space: Enter from the porch you walk into the historic Craftsman style family room w/ smart TV and sectional sofa. The dining room is on your left, with extendable table and plenty of seating. Continue into the fully stocked kitchen. 1st floor Laundry room is just off the kitchen. The back door off the Kitchen leads to a utility room w/ 1/2 Bathroom. Continue out the backdoor to the fully fenced backyard. The private outdoor shower is on your right. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a newly remodeled full bathroom. King bed in the Master, Queen bed in the 2nd room which has its own porch w/ seating area. The 3rd bedroom upstairs has 1 custom bunk bed and one single loft bed(all twin size). Outside Space: The front porch has lots of seating including a large porch swing and several Adirondacks. The fenced backyard is designed for family fun regardless of the weather. A fire pit, Adirondacks, picnic table, fenced yard to keep kids and pets safe and of course the Game Barn! The Game Barn has a porch with swings, pool table/ping pong, Skeeball, wine barrel chairs, and mini fridge! It was clean, comfortable and had all the little things we needed. It was 95 so we did spend much time in the party barn, but it was a great place to hang out after dark. Our group was made up of two couples and two 17 year olds. The home was generously stocked and just the right fit for us. The game barn gave us a space to relax later into the evening! We rented a golf cart to “haul” our stuff to the beach but - with a beach access at the end of the street - it was a nice, short walk back to the house for restroom breaks or drink/snack refills! The park and splash pad are right across the street. We also loved starting our days relaxing on the large front porch having coffee and then appetizers before heading out to dinner. The house was absolutely perfect for our group for many different reasons! It already came with 1 Pack & Play and a high chair but the kicker was the large front porch with a sliding gate to block off the steps. Sitting out on the porch where the kids could play while still being contained was great. The location was PERFECT, esp given that it was right next to the park w/ a great playground. We were also in perfect walking distance to everything in town. The game barn speaks for itself...a great place for the kids to play and for the adults to hang out after they go to bed. 10/10 - would recommend staying here any day!! ##### Eric S. The front porch was truly magical. We spent so much time on the porch swing and relaxing on the porch which might be the best porch in all of Cape Charles. We had a toddler and a dog and the house was perfect for both of them and we very much appreciated the gate on the front porch to keep them all contained. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and everything in the house was very comfortable. Our toddler loved all the books and games that the house came with also. Only complaint is the water gets VERY hot very quickly in the house so we had to be very careful bathing the toddler or washing hands to make sure no one got burned. ##### Kathryn B. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. The home is stocked with everything we needed. There’s cubbies and racks to store your things and is just so well thought out! They even had a nice set of pots & pans. The furniture and beds are comfy and we slept like little lambs. The house is as pictured and is so cute and well decorated. We loved the outside lights and game barn! The location was awesome and enjoyed watching the activity around the park. Our dog loved watching everything from the front porch. She’s not used to the activity of living in town. She was so tired when we got home she slept all that night and all the next day barely getting up to eat & potty! LOL! The host was lightning fast in responding. This is the way all hosts should be! Those of us who have rented often know the nightmares we encounter. No nightmares here. In fact the bar has been raised! If there is anything to comment on is the fact there were no directions on how to use the tv’s, which the home owner said they would rectify due to our difficulties. And we were not fond of having to go up and down stairs to use the restrooms. The downstairs restroom is right inside the back door before the 4 steps to go into the kitchen. But, we get it’s an older home and you have to work with what you’ve got. Also, the cleaning crew needed to step it up in a couple of areas, which I addressed with the owner.
