"Our host was simply wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this experience. This was a delightful gathering of friends in Lucca. I definitely recommend having Monica cook a meal for you one night while you stay- you will not be disappointed. I also recommend buying some of Monica's cheeses to enjoy while you are there- they pair perfectly with local meats, and you cannot get fresher cheese than this. Hospitality and responsiveness was wonderful- and they have many great insights on things to experience in the area. This was truly a wonderful and special visit."

"The weather didn’t permit much time in the pool (it was somewhat chilly) but when we did use the pool, it was fabulous. The house was very comfortable and basic amenities were provided. The property manager, Franco, was wonderful. He responded immediately to calls or emails and recommendations were terrific."

"This is an outstanding property! And we had a fabulous two week stay with 5 people. First, the hosts Silvia and Paolo are truly lovely and welcoming. Gracious and very helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and answer any questions. The villa is huge and sparkling clean. It was built in about the 15th century but is thoroughly modernized. The well-equipped kitchen was the center of our activity. The hosts thoughtfully provided great pantry staples. We loved the huge kitchen table so much we never used the equally huge dining room. We also loved the outdoor dining table and pool chairs. Silvia provided plenty of towels and pool towels for our use. The washer, dryer and drying racks were perfect for our long stay. The location is great. Beautiful, quiet, and close to groceries, a couple of restaurants, and Lucca. We visited Pisa, Portofino, Siena, and many of the centuries-old villas north of Lucca. Lots to see in and around Lucca. I can’t recommend this stay enough!"

"We were 8 adults touring Tuscany and what a fantastic place to stay. We had tons of room, the kitchen is a chef's dream, and the pool was wonderful.The host was great at communication, and helped up find a number of restaurants and wineries.Checkin was easy, and the Villa was exactly as presented in the listing. If you have a small or large group I give this 5 thumbs UP!!!"
