The Mount Rooms

"We were pleasantly surprised, we just wanted a cheap base so we could travel around so to be fair we weren’t expecting much. But it was brilliant, the whole place was spotless, our room (number 37) had been recently redecorated and had everything you needed, including kettle and telly. The bathroom had old fixtures and fittings but it was clean (no mould or dirty tiles) it had also been recently painted, and everything was functional including the bidet! The shower was not a power shower but it was all we needed and worked well. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. Our room had a fantastic sea view and we enjoyed looking at the funfair lights at night (in the distance, no noise). The actual hotel was quiet no loud or unruly customers the whole time we were there. The position of the hotel was fantastic in easy walking distance to the beach,funfair, shops and Gavin and Stacey filming sights. It’s also only a five minute walk from a Witherspoons restaurant which was brilliant for evening meals at very cheap prices. All in all we had a fab weeks holiday and would book and stay here again in a heart beat."

"Really lovely overnight stay with a young family on the way south. Ample parking, quiet rooms, lovely hotel interiors & layout, helpful staff, great breakfast, & working air conditioning for the heat wave. Also lovely time in the swimming pool & sauna, excellent facilities."

"From the moment we were checked in by a very friendly and smiley Haz we found everything spotlessly clean. We had room service which was very fast and efficient (we collected it from the bar to save the £5 charge). Food was good. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we need for an overnight stay. "

"No air con in the hotel rooms so a little uncomfortable if hot day. However everything else was superb! Breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t do anymore for you."

"The decoration or lack of it in the rooms was bizarre! They had scan me tags so you could see what the bare concrete affect was all about only it looked like they had forgotten to finish the room! The shelving felt like you were in student accommodation, There was a scan code so you could order food to be delivered this didn’t work! The bathroom looked like it did not belong to the hotel room as it was actually quite nice! They allowed dogs to stay very nice you think only at 1am when the dig next door is barking and whining at everything and then u get asked why you didn’t complain a single disabled person by them selves not likely to get up and go downstairs by myself! I just got stared at! I stayed for 3 nights The room was either boiling or freeing no happy medium, the air conditioning had a mind of its own! Then the car park well you could never get parked and people were parked in all other spots electric, disabled taxi it was a joke! And to be charged to park on an industrial estate just beggars belief really! I was very disappointed with my stay the laundry was very dated. I also had the housekeeping walk in on me in bed no knocking no manners! Certainly won’t stay again very disappointed"
