"This property had many pluses but also a few minuses. Pluses were very helpful host hood local places to eat. Minuses were lack of a lift and having to haul bags up many flights of stairs. The hist was however very obliging carrying my suitcase up for me. Also the parking was a bit of a hassle. Had to pay for street parking until 8pm. Again host gave me some coins as the machine wouldn't work with my card. If the host wasn’t there helping this wouldn't have been a good stay"

"Beautiful place very relaxing with excellent view. Great service. Parking no very close to building ( if rainy day very uncomfortable). Road to the hotel very narrow. Had an incident going down and old gentleman coming up, he had to back up car for more than 100 meters and honestly he didn’t know how to back up car. Todo almost have and hour to be able to continue my way down. But other than that beautiful place"

"Old house that looked like a museum. Had a haunted castle vibe. I was checking paintings for moving eyes! Room was basic, no TV, no AC, but clean. Host added to the haunted castle vibe by being a bit distant, hesitant when talking etc. could have been language barrier. Breakfast was on the veranda which had a great view. Expensive for what it was at almost €200 for one night. And it was hard to get to, in a small town on a hill (adding to creepy Wicker man vibe). "

"While it takes a little bit of getting to this place, it is beautiful and sublime. Poggio is a small commune set on a hill overlooking the beautiful Serchio Valley. The views from the back porch in this unit are truly spectacular. You can see the valley and the neighboring villages, many of which have hillside fortresses and churches. The old but well maintained building welcomed us with its cool interior and the steep surroundings reminded you that Sillicano is perched on the edge of a mountain. The pool is beautifully maintained and the views are nothing short of stunning. Paolo's pizza is a must and his hospitality towards us and our children is second to none."
