A peaceful Tuscan hideaway with a beautiful 10m x 5m private infinity-style pool, wonderful outdoor kitchen and mountain views – perfect for families who love spending their holidays outdoors.

Rustico Graziano is all about relaxed Tuscan summer living. Days can be spent beside the private pool, while evenings are made for long dinners under the covered loggia, cooking together in the superb outdoor kitchen and enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings.

One of the real highlights of the house is its unusually well-equipped outdoor kitchen, with oven, hob, sink, BBQ, rotisserie and traditional wood-fired oven, as well as plenty of covered dining space. The pool and outdoor areas are illuminated in the evening, creating a lovely atmosphere for eating and relaxing outside after dark.

The private 10m x 5m infinity-style pool has a water feature and warm outdoor shower, with plenty of space around it for relaxing in the Tuscan sunshine.

The pretty, enclosed and relatively flat garden also makes Rustico Graziano particularly suited to families and guests travelling with dogs.

Inside the house

The house has been restored in traditional Tuscan style, retaining features such as beamed ceilings while providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

On the ground floor is the indoor kitchen/dining room, equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. There is also a washing area with washing machine and a shower room.

The first floor has a comfortable living room with plenty of seating and a fireplace.

On the second floor are two double bedrooms, one with its own balcony, a children's bunk bedroom and a second shower room.

The house sleeps up to 6 and works especially well for a family, or two couples travelling with children.

A peaceful base for exploring northern Tuscany

Rustico Graziano is set in the beautiful Garfagnana countryside, an area known for its mountains, traditional villages, walking, wonderful scenery and slower pace of life.

The setting is peaceful and secluded rather than village-centre living, so a car is essential for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing.

After a day exploring, come home for a swim, light the wood-fired oven or BBQ, open a bottle of wine and enjoy an evening outdoors.

A little about the area:
This property, set at the end of a tiny hamlet, with privacy is bordered by a stream and is the perfect place to enjoy the the green mountains.

Whilst remotely situated in an ancient hamlet, the local villages of Camporgiano is 4km from the property, with a couple of bars, 3 restaurants, bars, an inhabited castle, supermarket, and train station for easy exploring.

Castelnuovo, the local market town is a 15 minute drive away, and the beautiful mediaeval town of Barga is a circa 30 minute drive.

Lucca is a city that can be reached in around an hour or so, and is a great day out - meander through the narrow streets, cycle around the fully intact walls, take in some shopping, drink and eat in the Piazzas, and visit the 99 churches (!).

Take a trip to Pisa in 90 mins and Florence in under 2 hours...

The real beauty of the area though is its proximity to two important Protected National Parks, the surrounding mountains and the hundreds of villages where it seems that time has stood still.

Garfagnana with its stunning scenery is perfect for walking, picnicking, relaxing, exploring countless hilltop villages and visiting the National Parks of the region.

Short trips include the ancient fortress of Verrucole (try your hand at some archery) with its amazing views, the zip wire park of Buffardello (ideal for a shady day under the trees) , the lake of Vagli which covers a submerged village, the Grotta del Vento (the famous Wind Caves), the hot springs at Equi Terme to name but a few....

This is a little piece of paradise!
