Very nice day the rooms were clean, the air conditioners worked excellent. The balconies were a little small but just fine really. My hairdryer did not work in my bathroom, but the staff got me a replacement. Breakfast was good better than nothing and got us going in the morning. Wish they had a pet area because they are pet friendly.

We stayed for a couple of nights and it was hot, thank goodness for the air conditioning as it made our stay pleasant. This hotel needs a good cleaning, our room wasn’t very clean….i disinfected the back of the back of our bathroom door with what may have been feces. Our dishwasher didn’t work and the room wasn’t equipped with a dish rack and the dish soap was watered down and came pouring out on the first use. I washed the cutlery before using them as they weren’t clean. The breakfast was adequate with enough choice for most people. The location is lovely and so was the view from our deck; however it’s loud with the traffic from the busy highway between the hotel and ocean. Campbell River is lovely.

We have a reservation and on our arrival they said the reservation was for the next next day? The booking was "pay on arrival" but the money was taken 2 days priror. Major problems with them using the reservation system. Sent us to a sister property. Room and staff were great there.

Cleanliness except the door in our room was falling apart. Just need maintaining. I love the idea of laminate or hardwood floors versus carpet. It makes it look clean. It does need upgrades tho. Staff were friendly and amazing. I gave it 4 stars for cleanliness. Kitchen is functional good set up for a longer stay. Ocean just across the road, just too rocky for walking along the shore.

Location across from the sea walk was nice. Not enough parking to be comfortable that a spot would be available no matter the hour of return to the hotel. Staff helpful to accommodate an early check in which was not anticipated (cleaner prioritized room). Advertised as a boutique hotel, furnishings were more used than antique and the interior state is "tired" which could be easily fixed with paint and a proper clean of windows and balconys. Showers are extremely small, even for a short, slim woman. A chair in the room would be helpful, as furnishings were sparse. Breakfast buffet was good!

The Heron’s Landing is right across the road from the oceanfront. It is simple, honest, basic accomo, and if you’re being picky, it’s a bit dated. That said it very clean and very well kept. Covered parking is available, and the included breakfast was a bonus, given the price point. Overall, it was excellent value for the rate paid.
