"Clean"

"This review focuses specifically on accessibility. I use a walker for mobility (not a wheelchair) and had reserved an accessible room (Room 323). We arrived late in the evening, around 10:00 PM. The parking situation was challenging—the main lot is quite small, and no spaces were available upon arrival. There are only two designated accessible parking spots, both of which were occupied. Front desk staff mentioned an additional parking area at the back of the hotel that “not many people know about,” but it was also nearly full. As a result, I had to be dropped off at the front entrance while my wife searched for parking and ultimately found a spot at the rear of the property. Notably, there appeared to be a higher number of reserved spaces for VIP members than for guests requiring accessible parking. Regarding the room itself, I would not consider it truly accessible. The entryway features a narrow hallway that made it difficult to open the door while maneuvering a walker into the room. The overall room size was also quite limited. Initially, the bathroom seemed promising due to the walk-in shower; however, it proved to be highly impractical. The toilet is positioned extremely close to the counter, leaving minimal space to sit comfortably. A grab bar is mounted near the counter, with the toilet paper holder located directly beneath it—protruding over the toilet seat. We actually had to remove the toilet paper roll to allow enough space to attempt to sit down."

"From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we were impressed. When we pulled up, the building looked like it was under construction and that concerned us, but aside from a very creaky, loud elevator (use the stairs if it scares you!), we didn't notice anything amiss. We got a free upgraded room for having a certain Expedia status, the room was great and the hotel rooftop hot tub was our favourite part. We had the roof all to ourselves for most of the time (we went up there two separate times in one night because we enjoyed it so much and wanted to see the sun set). It was so nice to soak in an environment that was quiet and beautiful after a day hiking a mountain. Important note: The jets for the hot tub are on the side of the railings. It took us forever to find them! Also, they give you nice thick bathrobes that came in handy up on the cold roof! The free breakfast was at their restaurant - you can choose from several options: crepes, yogurt and granola, eggs and bacon or oatmeal. The breakfast was decent - better than most hotel breakfasts, and came with a bread bar as well (I quite enjoyed it - just different types of bread that you can toast on a grill) and breakfast came with a little cup of applesauce which we thought was strange when we saw that, but it was the most delicious applesauce I've ever had! All in all, pretty awesome value for what we paid! I definitely recommend and will definitely book here again if we need to stay in Calgary "
