Although it is very walkable to the CBD, some people may prefer having a car for their stay. We hadn't realised this was a second floor duplex, but simple and comfortable. No issues with room,cairns con in bedrooms. Staff were lovely and very helpful. However, it’s a two-storey unit, and reaching the central area of Cairns for dining and activities requires a walk of over 10 minutes. They were all over the walls and floor. There were also insects coming up from the drains. They appeared to be roaches and small flies. Additionally, the smoke detector went off the entire first night. We did not sleep at all. We reported it to the office. They sprayed the room for the ants and fixed the smoke detector the next day. However we lost one entire night of sleep. They did not provide hair conditioner or shower gel. They provided small soaps that seemed old because they crumbled in my hand.
