"Laid back, chill, pousada.. "
First off, I want to say that the staff at this pousada were extremely kind and welcoming. Very attentive.
Secondly, the pictures shown must have been taken about 2-3 years ago. The seating and ground near the pool need a bit of TLC, with routine maintenance it would be a gem (also the square bed couches pictured overlooking the ocean are no longer there).
The poolside bar is not staffed, nor is the bar in the lobby. Without a car or paying for cabs, it's a bit difficult to get around Buzios. It would be nice to relax at the pousada and have a drink, rather than going downtown and it would keep revenue in the pousada.
The actual pool is cleaned/maintained daily and there are bathrooms nearby.
The rooms are super cute, with nice decor. The cleaning crew leaves the windows open for ventilation after cleaning, allowing opportunities for bugs to enter, and they did. Let me remind you all, Buzios is an island- there are bugs, it is what it is. I had microscopic ants crawling on my walls, coming in from the windows. They didn't invade anything of mine but I didn't exactly like it.
Linens and towels are changed every other day. The sheets regimen totally makes sense. Buzios is a beach town, 2 showers a day is normal and it would be nice to have the option for a clean towel.
WIFI was difficult (again you are on an island, right off of the ocean). I seldomly was able to get a signal in my room, and only sometimes in the lobby.
The breakfast was good, no complaints.
