Lovely hotel, friendly staff. We were in the annex which was a couple of minutes walk away from the main hotel (be careful if you are traversing in heels!. Everything was clean and tidy, although the hand soap/shower wash had not been filled. I would stay again. I did not mention to the staff about the soap so cannot fault them on what I did not mention. Staff were very lovely.

The Higher Trapp Hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfy and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good! I'd stay here again if in the area.

I think I would sum up the property as "tired elegance"! staff were very helpful and charming and the food was excellent. It must have been a very grand house at one time - I didn't have a chance to explore outside. It has been 7 years since I visited it last for a funeral wake.

I stayed here for 4 nights and during the 2nd night there was an issue with the room, and I wanted to change rooms, Millie on reception was very understanding and helpful and sorted me another room out immediately in the lodge for the rest of my stay, I can’t praise her enough for this The food was good and the other staff were friendly and polite

We booked two rooms for a weekend wedding. The rooms were located on a separate building that we had to walk to down hill or through muddy grass. The two rooms are very outdated and not as clean as we expected. There were loads of spiderwebs and dead both live and dead spiders at the entrance and in the bedrooms. The bathroom had mould and the shower dripped all day and night. The walls are also super thin and we could hear phones vibrating and doors being slammed all around. We also had no choice in weather or not we wanted housekeeping. There was no sign to put on the door so we were surprised to find someone had been in our rooms without our consent. Rooms given were no where near what is advertised on Expedia. The service and staff were fantastic though.

Quirky with some lovely staff in the evening in the restaurant. The gardens are also beautiful but small things could really enhance the hotel to get more from its potential. My stay improved after a few small disappointments. The room was warm and quiet. The meal on the second night was excellent (first night's green curry with poppadoms was less so and lacking in flavour).

Extensive mould in the bedroom. Very dated decor in room and the taps were broken. Lots of cobwebs. Wedding on and the music played till 00.30 very loud, so couldn't sleep at all. A memorable stay for the wrong reasons
