Much better room second time around!

Posted 25-Mar-2017
I have stayed here many times over the past ten years and the hotel has been gradually improving over this time. However on my first stay on this trip I arrived late at ten pm and was allocated a poor room as the hotel was almost full since it was a public holiday weekend. On this stay I checked in at 1pm and asked for a room overlooking "nove de Julio" - the main thoroughfare running past the hotel, which I got. It was much better and had a window opening to see "obelisco" which is just down the road. Despite this it was NOT noisy. Good efficient A/C, a bath!, Comfy bed, big tv (but still no programmes in English - not even BBC or CNN). Breakfast better than before but still below par. On the basis of this room I would recommend staying there as it is a bus or subway ride to Retiro less than a minutes walk from the front door. Oh and by the way they looked after my hot weather wardrobe which was in a laundry bag whilst I was away from BsAs

Poor room, poor brekky. good AC,WIFI & location

Posted 04-Mar-2017
Pros: Wifi, AC and location
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Walk, or take the bus, to Station Retiro and, for eight pesos with a SUBTE card, go to TIGRE - An hour, walk to Puerta de Fruitos and catc a boat.
Have stayed here previously and rooms have been great, and breakfast good as well - but this time both were poor. I did arrive late and they were busy so maybe that's a lesson! Having said that the AC was great - especially important as it was 34C in the street at 22.30, WIFI also good. Position on Nove de Julio bus stops means you can get almost everywhere in the city with a SUBTE pass - even Aerpoarque for less than ten pesos on bus 45 (or 33 from a different stop) breakfast very very poor, only eggs with a few bits of sausage thrown in, no cheese or ham as previously - how disappointing. No rolls either, only cut bread., there were cereals, cakes, medialunas etc.

Good budget hotel

Posted 15-Jan-2017 on Orbitz
I stayed in an economy room. It was small, but had everything a person could need (hair drier, air conditioning, TV, in room Wi-Fi included) and was clean Perhaps I came in with lower expectations, since this hotel was much nicer than where I stayed in other parts of Argentina for a similar price - from room to breakfast to staff and facilities. The only potential drawback is location, which is central to all the neighborhood but not quite in a particular neighborhood. This was good for me as I wanted to see everything in a short time.

Excellent location in Buenos Aires

Posted 30-Dec-2016
Pros: Easy access to all sites & helpful attitude of staff. Other reviews said there were issues with the free wifi; I had none.Breakfast buffet was good.
Cons: Some of the rooms were a bit outdated. My room had been updated & served me well.
Location: Easy access by walking or metro to the Plaza de Mayo & main shopping areas.
I felt at home and well attended to by the staff. Hotel has an xcellent location on the Main Street of BA with easy access o all sites.

Pros: I love the location and staff. Nice room service, nice breakfast. I would come back again.
Cons: Bigger bed size. I'm not used to sleep in a single bed.
Location: Close to everything. Easy transportation, subways and buses nearby.
I stayed in this hotel from Nov18 - Nov 27. I love the location and staff. Nice room service, nice breakfast. I would come back again.
