"The property is nice but be aware this place is an hour away from the city. If you’re looking for a retreat, this is a good place. The singing of the birds will wake you up in the morning."
"Excellent, beautiful property hidden in the remote coast of Palawan Puerto Princesa. Highly recommend visiting the underground river and staying at this hotel for several nights. Breathtaking beachfront property in a quiet, peaceful environment. "
"Daluyon is a beautiful beachfront resort, I love that they have kayaking and paddleboarding available for guests which we enjoyed . The breakfast is inclusive and it was delicious, service was warm and exceptional. We enjoyed our dinner at the beach and the strawberry mojito was delicious. Booking our tours was very efficient and easy, front desk is very attentive. Laundry service is also available so we did not have to pack wet clothes. The Filipino massage was very good and just what I needed...
"The doors don't lock totally unsafe the room is dirty beds not sleepable. Bathroom awful the showers is over the toilet, mosqito galour I didn't stay here and walkea straight out. Non refundable but honestly there is no way yoi caj stay here. Shouldn't even be listed as suitable. "
"This is a great place to stay on a budget. The owner stayed up late for us after we had a flight delay, we arrived at about 2230. The room is large, the bathroom works and they provide breakfast to your room at 0700. They also can arrange your underground river tour, they walk you straightaway to the boat.
Also, know going in that it is a small budget place in the jungle, they may or may not have any hot water. "
"The resort is great, nice rooms and next to a waterpark (walk 5min) which is nice.
Very kind people all around and the buffet (breakfast and dinner) are really great (even though we normally don’t like buffets).
Perfect service, couldn’t have been better. "

The Filipino massage was very good and just what I needed to ease some tensed muscles. Daluyon is a beautiful beachfront resort with exceptional service and staff. It’s also located very close to the world famous Underground River, sadly our tour was cancelled due to some bad weather, I guess this gives us some good reason to come back, thank you Daluyon staff for such wonderful service!"
"The Funny Lion in Palawan is a hidden gem that blends laid-back island charm with luxury service. The resort’s restaurant offers an exceptional fine dining experience, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a menu that beautifully captures the flavors of the Philippines with an upscale twist. Whether you’re enjoying sunset cocktails by the pool or a candlelit dinner under the stars, every detail is thoughtfully curated. What truly makes The Funny Lion stand out is its warm, attentive staff who go above and beyond to take care of your every need—making your stay not just relaxing, but truly memorable. A perfect retreat for travelers seeking comfort, great food, and world-class hospitality in a stunning island setting."

"Very eclectic; the owner takes care of this hostel as he is there everyday with his family and pets. It's your basic hostel- bring your amenities especially insect repellant. Water pressure can be erratic at times, but this is island living so its expected.
Great food and great staff. Service can be really slow- avoid if it looks busy. "
"A Hidden Gem of Tranquility and Charm!
Carpe Diem Villa and Resort is a true oasis in Puerto Princesa! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful, Balinese-inspired atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant sculptures. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and well-equipped — we especially loved the private pool access, which made the stay feel extra luxurious.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even helping us plan local tours and arranging transport when needed. The main pool area is stunning and well-maintained — perfect for lounging with a drink from the poolside bar.
Dining at their restaurant was a delightful surprise. The fusion of French and Filipino flavors made for a unique and satisfying experience, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety in the breakfast options.
While the resort is tucked away from the main town, it’s a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Just be prepared to arrange transportation if you plan to explore more of the city.
Overall, Carpe Diem is the perfect mix of comfort, relaxation, and attentive service. We’re already planning our next visit!
