I liked that this apartment was very good value for money, and if you had the max of 6 people in it it would be amazing value! I also liked the fact that it had a modern and clean bathroom, lots of instant hot water and a basic clean kitchen. It was warm to the point of being too hot and we couldn’t turn the radiator down so had to open the window! The reception staff were very helpful and polite
On the other hand, The apartment is very basic to the point of being uninviting. This is the first time I have ever stayed anywhere where the bottom sheet had holes and the duvet covers and pillowcases were faded and worn. The bed was very uncomfortable, the tv had no English speaking channels so was useless and there was no full length mirror. The window of this particular apartment looked out onto the windows of an office building which wasn’t a problem but I thought I’d mention it as some reviews talk of the appartment looking into the Danube, obviously not the one we had.
The apartment is in what was once a magnificent elegant building, and is still beautiful but in need of some tlc. It is very shabby for the most part now and the lift is not for the faint hearted as it looks as if it has seen many decades of use
If you are looking for an apartment on a budget that is clean and serviceable and warm then this is for you but in the end you get what you pay for so don’t look for luxuries like a tv!
