Great communication from the owners. It was great to have space and the ability to cook our food. The apartment had great amenities and everything you would need. It was close to walk to attractions and had excellent restaurants in the area when we wanted to eat out. Would happily stay again.

Super clean apartment in a great location
This spacious and clean apartment is in a wonderful area. We walked to nearly everything we wanted to see and took the metro to the rest (the stations are very close by). Communication with the owners was prompt and easy. They even met me at the apartment to give the keys and provide some helpful information about the city. Very nice! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Budapest in the Heart
Literally this property is central to everything. If walking is not an issue then you will love it. 15min to the river, the Opera House, Basilica around the corner, walk to hero square and enjoy Central Park, or walk across the Chain Bridge to Buda and enjoy a day of touring the Castle, Bastion and surrounding buildings. If walking not your thing, taxi, bus, and even the oldest subway in Europe is 2minutes from your door. Then eat at one of many restaurants in the area or grab groceries from the local market 2 minutes up the road to cook your own meal. A spacious clean apartment with the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. Overall a great place to stay!

Great apartment in a central location
This flat has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so was perfect for 4 adults staying. It has everything you might need for your stay. The location is amazing - right amongst lots of bars and eateries, with a Spar shop round the corner for essentials. The Metro is less than 5 minutes walk. The apartment is very quiet - you couldn't hear anything from outside because the windows all face into a central courtyard. Andy was really helpful and communication was him was straightforward. I'd definitely recommend this apartment.

Flat is situated centrally in nice part of Budapest with bars and restaurants all around, public transport near by. It is clean and well equipped. Communication with the property manager was excellent, they are very responsive and helpful. Everything is as it is advertised, would recommend this appartement for a stay in Budapest.

A very pleasant experience
I really like this apartment. I've travelled to Budapest every year since 2012, and this is my second time staying here. The location for me is excellent, being a 5min walk to a subway station, and being surrounded by cafes, shops, and restaurants. It is also a 10-15min walk to deak ferenc ter, a real Budapest connection point. On the negative, the tv is a little small (and no netflix etc), as is the fridge (for longer stays this may be relevant), and the washing machine was impossible to work out how to use (this happened last trip too). But I think the positives outweigh the negatives, it is located well, no noise from street or neighbours, wifi works fine, and everything else worked as advertised. I could see myself staying a 3rd time in the future...

Thanks for your kind comments Blake, and for returing a second time to Mahler. The tv has been selected for it's scale to the large living room, but also the proximity of the sofa for viewing. However we will install internet tv functionality to enable guests to use their own digital streaming accounts if they choose, so thanks for the suggestion. If you do return a third time we will ask Andy and Renata to explain how the washing machine works during the meet and greet session and key handover. Thanks again, Mark and Linda.

We loved our stay! The flat was as pictured and had good access with the lift. We stayed with an infant and a toddler and where impressed with the amenities (baby cutlery, baby toys, etc). The flat is in a great location where we could walk everywhere. Would stay again.

Outstanding!
My family stayed at the property at the reservation that I made. Owner and managers were absolutely outstanding in the way they communicated and helped us during the check-in and stay. Owner was very accommodating and exceptionally supportive post-reservation communications. Managers were simply SUPER! Andy met my family at the rail way station and brought them to the apartment. That was such a huge help!!!!! Thank you Andy! Also, managers helped with getting some food in the apartment as the day of move-in coincided with a national Holiday, when all stores were closed. This touched my heart and I can not express enough gratitude for this invaluable support. Apartment is located in a very nice area and it is very convenient to explore city center. I absolutely recommend this property for stay in Budapest. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Great location, beautiful property
This large and lovely property is in a perfect location to walk to nearby shops and restaurants, and to access public transportation from the station at the Opera. (Be sure to download the Budapest Public Transit app on your phone). It is very spacious and we appreciated the washing machine and kitchen. There is a thorough guide to the property and city at the property. The hosts were very responsive, even calling a cab for our departure. Highly recommend.

The property location is absolutely perfect. Cafes are steps away from the property. It is nice to have two bedrooms and two separate bathrooms with showers. Great lounging area in between two rooms. Very easy to obtain keys and drop them off when done. Overall, the property was clean except for one bathroom. It was evident that a cleaning service had been there to clean the bathroom but it appears that they used wet dirty rags because there were dirty streaks on the mirror and on the shower's glass panels.

Perfection in Budapest!
One week in Budapest – our first visit to the City – where to stay? What great luck to find the Mahler Apartment, absolute perfection. Check in was quick and smooth by Andy who patiently answered all of our questions before we were left to settle in and explore. The two bedrooms are situated at either end of this huge apartment with a living room, open kitchen area and a bathroom in the middle. One bedroom has an en suite bathroom (the washing machine was in here). The apartment is on the 2nd floor; there is a lift so no problems with access. It's so well equipped and sparkling clean - everything is there that you could possibly need during your stay. There's an oven and hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, etc. and even a dishwasher. Nothing has been overlooked in making this apartment one of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. The rooms are huge with high ceilings. We stayed during one of the hottest periods but fans are provided. TV with English channels, books, games, DVDs and guide books are also provided. Although this apartment is near restaurants, bars, cafes and main roads, there is absolutely no noise as it's situated on an inside courtyard. We heard no noise at all, all week, so slept well – yes, comfortable beds too! Perfection! I would definitely come back to Budapest, but during a less hot season. It's an amazing City. We were in Hungary for the Hungarian Grand Prix, so had no choice on dates. Be sure the Mahler Apartment will be the first choice for our next visit and I'd like to thank Linda for making her beautiful apartment available for travellers like us.

Just not quite what we wanted
I hesitate to write a mixed review, because I'm sure this place will work really well for most people. Overall, the location is excellent, and it has all the basics (it's not a luxury apartment, even though that word is used many times in the description). Renata was very kind as well. Those were the things we really liked. And Budapest is a beautiful city. Here were our frustrations: 1. Every single window faces a walkway (not a busy one, but still). It's hard to leave windows to the bedroom open at night when someone can walk by and see you. This was a surprise to us. It was really hot, so we were happy that 3 fans were provided. 2. The showers don't seem to drain particularly well. 3. We were given 4 big towels for 4 people. That generally works, but as I mentioned, the showers didn't drain particularly well, and there's only half a wall for the showers...and we have kids...so it got a bit wet in the bathroom. Of course, we want to clean that up to be good tenants, but there were no towels to do so, unless we wanted to use one of our own bath towels. 4. The washer broke down with our clothes in it. I always make sure to rent a place with a working washer, so this was frustrating. Renata was kind enough to come the next day and check it out (she hung our clothes, too, as we weren't there), but by then, our clothes had sat in dirty water for 24 hours and some of it didn't come out too clean. 5. The location on the map was listed right on Jokal terrace, but the actual location is about 250 meters away. Is that a big deal? Maybe not. But why not just list the location where it actually is? This may sound like a lot of complaining. I guess my expectations were higher based on the reviews and the description. And I would hope that the washer doesn't break for each renter, so hopefully that's not a problem for most people.

The architectural features, as advertised, including the peace and beauty of the inner facing courtyard, are what most people love about Mahler. As you say, that did not work for you but will work for everyone else. The washing machine had its annual service just before your arrival, after you left we had a differerent company look at the machine. Neither could find any fault, so we are not sure what happened during your stay. As you say, Renata was amazing and responded as soon as she was informed. Thanks again for your comments.

What a great place to stay. I've been to Budapest a dozen times but usually stay in a hotel, but I'll definitely stay here again! The layout was great, 2 good sized rooms, a workable kitchen and bathrooms were good too. The best thing about the apartment was the location, close to metro, and close walking distance to many of Pests best attractions as well as surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The only thing it lacks is a view, but I came for the city not to sit in the apartment looking out the window. Highly recommended, thanks!

We really loved our first visit to Budapest. Arrival very smooth, Andy met us on arrival and was very friendly and patient, taking time to answer all of our questions about the city. The apartment itself was brilliant, large, well furnished and for somewhere so central, very quiet and safe at night. We walked miles every day seeing all the sights but for those not quite so energetic times public transport is on the doorstep. We didn't need to travel far at night as there are so many bars and restaurants minutes away. All in all a perfect stay, thanks Andy and Linda, we will be sure to come back soon

Beautiful Airy Apartment in Theatre District
We spent a week in this spotlessly clean apartment which was lovely and airy and very authentic with high ceilings and shuttered windows overlooking a central courtyard. It was surprisingly quiet at night despite its central location. It had all the facilities you need and really felt like a home from home with comfortable beds and all the mod cons you often miss on holiday. There were numerous bars and restaurants on the doorstep with plenty of variety. Andy and Linda were a pleasure to deal with and provided plenty of tips and suggestions for our stay. Most of the attractions are within walking distance and we particularly enjoyed the Gelert Spa, the Great Market Hall, the ruins bars, the synagogue and of course Margaret Island and the Danube. We even saw the Red Bull competitors practising their aerobatics over the Danube and under the bridge the day before the event. All in all a very memorable week and hats off to Andy and Linda for such a first class service.

A wonderful apartment in a great part of Budapest!
Everything you see in the photos is accurate: simple but elegant design, bright and airy atmosphere (thanks to high ceilings and plenty of windows), and a wonderful surrounding neighborhood. What you can’t see in the photos: comfortable bedding and furniture, extremely quiet at all times of day (apartment windows all face interior courtyard), and a very conscientious and thoughtful host. There was ample space for our family of four (the photos do not convey how large the rooms really are). And the six restaurants we ate at –all less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment- were all outstanding. But it was the host that earned the 5th star in our rating. We had great communication leading up to our visit, and taking possession of the apartment was a simple and pleasant process (many thanks to Andy for being patient as we got ourselves lost from the train station). The owner provided an awesome binder filled with information about the surrounding neighborhood, sightseeing recommendations, transportation options, and general tips which helped make our visit to Budapest so enjoyable. As wonderful as this apartment sounds/appears in the description, it still managed to exceed our expectations. And much of that is due to the extra effort made by the owner.

Lovely, comfortable and nicely located apartment
We were two couples enjoying a 5 night break in Budapest. The apartment was really nice, very spacious and offered everything needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Tony and Renata were really nice and extremely helpful especially with helping us to recover a camera which one of us had left in a taxi and with booking our taxi's for our return flights home. The apartment was located very nicely so that we could walk to most central attractions. The one suggestion we would make is to provide a dressing table in the bedrooms. Overall, a very nice apartment which lived up to its advertisement, thoroughly recommended.

I highly recommend this apartment. Very spacious apartment with updated bathrooms and kitchen. Has all the basic things you will need for a holiday apartment rental. The apartment was in a great location for eating out, shopping and sight seeing. It was spacious and comfortable as well as safe. The only slight negative was that the internet connection kept cutting out. Not sure if this was a range issue. Would definitely stay here again, and again, and would recommend it to others.

Lovely spacious well equipped clean apartment in a central location. It was snowing when we went but the apartment was cosy warm. The host was very flexible with our check in/out times. It is in easy reach of the airport, as its the last stop on the 100e airport shuttle bus and then a beautiful 10 minute walk down the historic Andrassy boulevard. There is lots of local restaurants but our favourite meal was at Komédiás Kávéház on Andrassy.

Lovely apartment in a lovely city
Linda's flat is very centrally located being close to all the major attractions and is well equipped. The beds were lovely and comfortable and as it overlooks a central courtyard there is no traffic noise to keep you awake at night. We walked everywhere! Highlights of the trip: the Palace, Parliament, the Hungarian National Gallery, the city's fantastically diverse architecture, the food, the people.... the list goes on! The views over the river at night when all the landmarks are lit up are beautiful. Everyone said the Széchenyi thermal baths weren't to be missed so we reluctantly went - couldn't believe we were in an outside pool in the middle of November, but it was probably the best part of the whole weekend, we had a great time! Would most certainly stay at Linda's apartment again should we return to Budapest.

The owner and her local manager are great to deal with and the whole booking process was very smooth. Great space in the apartment. Kitchen is well equipped and all very clean. Some VRBOs have a few basic supplies in the cupboards but none here so be prepared to do a full shop when you arrive if you plan to cater ‘at home’! Thankfully supermarket is only minutes away. Lots of restaurants very near if you plan to dine out! Would certainly stay here again if we are back in Budapest!

Location, Location, Location
This cute flat has plenty of space with bedrooms that don't share a wall, or even a hallway. The location could not be better! You are right around the corner from the Opera House, great shopping, public transportation, restaurants, you name it - you got it! I'm a big walker so I found everything to be really accessible. It's about a 10 minute walk to St Stephen's Basilica in one direction or a 10 minute walk to the House of Terror museum in the other direction. The only thing on my wish list would've been to have access to the lift with my 18kg suitcase. There are a lot of stairs and at no point did I figure out if I could use the lift (to be fair, I also didn't ask). I DID ride it with another tenant so I know it worked. It just seemed like you needed a different key or perhaps a key fob to operate it. Anyway, if I had been shown how to use that, I would've given this place 5 stars.

Very spacious, well equipped apartment in a very central location.
Two large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Easy to use, efficient washer. Comfy sofa, DVDs in English. One small downside is the non functional elevator, necessitating climbing 2 floors of steep stairs to reach the apartment.

Lovely spacious and well equipped apartment in Budapest
Very enjoyable stay in Budapest. Both Linda and Andy were very prompt at replying to emails and we were welcomed by Andy on arrival, who spent time with us giving us lots of info on Budapest and what to do. Highly recommended!
