This unit served its purpose. It is definitely in need of some updates. The bedding was worn and pillows were terrible. The towels were thin and old. You get what you pay for. It would be N affordable option for a family who wants to prepare some meals. I probably wouldn’t stay here again but I can see it working well for budget conscious travellers. Janos was very pleasant to deal with although check in was a hassle as his machine would not process any of the 3 credit cards we tried. Luckily we had enough cash to cover but it left us short.

Fantastic apartment in a great location close to shops and attractions plus bus stops and a metro station just a few minutes walk. We really enjoyed our 6 night stay. The washing machine was an added convenience and our host Janos even provided a drying rack. The bed was super uncomfortable but for the price and location I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Apartment in a great location in the centre of Budapest. Spacious and comfortable apartment with great air conditioning. The communication from our host, Janos, was excellent and he was on hand at all times to help with any queries. Can't really fault anything and would certainly look to book this apartment again if we return to Budapest.

This was the most amazing experience. Accommodation is basic. But clean comfortable and the landlords amazing. Could not be more helpful or accommodating. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is situated right in the middle of the city and easy walking distance to just about everything. If you want to experience Budapest life stay here. János and Virag can help you with any personal tours. Thoroughly recommend Timea if you want to do some in depth tours. She is a fountain of knowledge. Can arrange small group tours walking or with a private vehicle. As stated can’t recommend Katona Apartment experience enough

The property was centrally located, safe, clean, and had all the necessary amenities for a wonderful stay. In addition, the hosts were very helpful in coordinating transportation to/from the airport and train station during our stay. We would definitely recommend the Katona!

Central location with some quirks
Very good location close to everything in Budapest. The management company was very nice and handled arrangements for our taxi to the airport and from the train station to the apartment very well. The building is a little strange with bars on all the windows going all the way to the top floor. While we felt safe I've never stayed in any place that had bars on the windows . Having a metro station and upermarket less than one block away was very convenient .

Fabulous gem in Budapest!
This was amazing. The location could not be any better! Convenient to great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, sightseeing. The owner was beyond accommodating, was highly organized. The space was more than we could have imagined with everything required and immaculate. Bedding was innovative, extremely comfortable, kitchen facilities, plenty of hot water, modern bath, good towels. We would stay here again in a minute!

Great service. Staff was very useful and easy to get in touch. Provided access code for wifi across town. And were very useful with providing recommendations of activities and tour companies in town. Also, were very helpful with booking taxis and selling tickets for activities and admission to places such as bath houses. Definitely recommendable

Excellent location, comfortable apartment, accommodating hosts! Highly recommend! Brilliantl setup, safe, clean, accessible (elevator), full amenities for a short or long stay. Centrally located in the city center but the true jewel is the host. Excellent customer service! Spent few minutes explaining the map of the city and best restaurants around the area. Made our stay in Budapest memorable. Another plus, the host will gladly book taxi for you if you need a lift to the train station.

This property is close to everything, it is in the center of the tourist district, many restaurants nearby, chain bridge just few minute walking distance away. Washing machine is a big plus in this hot summer. Janos - the owner is very nice, and easy to communicate.

This appartment is in an old building and has good security. The owners Virág and János couldn’t do enough for us and were great at keeping us informed with numerous emails and suggestions for things to do in Budapest. The appartment had everything you could need.

Greeted by Janos who was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. Great recommendation for dinner at a traditional Hungarian restaurant. Apartment is in an excellent location. The WiFi was outstanding and Janos also provided WiFi connection in hotspots throughout the city.

Great experience, loved the quaint apartment that had everything we needed and a washing machine! Very helpful, attentive and friendly owners and everything is at your doorstep. The apartment was clean and well appointed, and being on the courtyard side of this building in the city center we did not hear a thing, so quiet and then everything only meters away. This will be our place of choice when we return. Do not hesitate.

Great stay
We were two families staying in two apartments. We had a fabulous stay. The apartments are clean and have a lot of storage due to the unique design. The location is unbeatable, the rooms are quiet. However, the best feature of our stay was the attentiveness of the hosts. From the check-in through our stay they responded to all of our questions within minutes. This was possible via the fast and reliable Wi-fi. The hosts accommodated our requests quickly, and saved the day when we left our tickets to the bath in the apartment. I will stay here again when visiting Budapest.

Fabulous location and service in Budapest
We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath unit with full kitchen and was very roomy. We appreciated the washer (detergent provided) and large drying rack as we had been on the road for awhile. The building has one of the best elevators we have seen in Europe, large with automatic inner door. The unit is on floor 1 which is actually 3 floors up so the elevator is great for luggage. The building is very quiet so that you can rest well and the location is great! There is a metro stop and bus stop on the corner. It is within a half mile to one mile of all the major sites. We chose to walk everywhere, which added up to 5 to 10 miles each day, so you might want to supplement with public transportation. The owners are amazing! They reached out to us right after we made the reservation and offered to arrange transportation on both ends of our stay, as well as provided information about the Budapest area. Their website is very complete and informative. They are available at any time when you contact them. They can also assist with reservations for river cruises, the baths, etc. which will avoid some of the lines. We had left some items behind at a prior apartment and had them shipped to Budapest and the owners made sure that we received the package before we left. We highly recommend Katona Apartments for a very comfortable stay in the Budapest area and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Budapest City Center Apartments
Katona apartment owner Janos had a driver pick us up at Budapest airport and drove us to Katona apartments. Janos met us there and explained how everything worked in the apartment and how to get around the city. The apartment was well furnished. The grocery store, coffee cafes, restaurants, and public transportation along with the bank, are all a short walk from the apartment. The apartment location is excellent. The apartment has an elevator and excellent security. Janos told us if we had any questions about anything to send him an e-mail. Every time we sent him and e-mail we received a quick reply with the answer to our question. Janos when out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoy our stay in Budapest. I would recommend this apartment. Thank you Janos :-)
