    This two-story home is wonderful for getting around on foot, with bustling Main Street (one block), the Bucksport Waterfront Walkway on the Penobscot River (one block), and the Maine Maritime Academy Center for Professional Mariner Development (one mile) all reachable on foot. Yet, it's also the perfect home base for exploring, with Castine (17 miles), Belfast (18 miles), Bangor (19 miles), and Acadia National Park (35 miles) just a few of the attractions within an easy, scenic drive.

Downeast Maine Gateway-prime location

The rental in this quaint town offers the perfect starting point to enjoy Downeast Maine. The house is well equipped for the needs of pet owners and their pets. The bed was comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and kitchen had ample supplies, including nice touches such as kitchen basic herbs/spices. Proximity to groceries, restaurants and delicious seafood takeout was ideal. Walking distance to the habor walking path was really enjoyable. We would choose this location again.

Peaceful comfort

This place was absolutely adorable. The location was just far enough off the beaten path to provide comfort and tranquility. You could sit on the patio and listen to the brook running next to this property. The rooms were comfy.

Exploring Maine!!

This house in Bucksport was perfect for us! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The two bedrooms upstairs each had their own window a/c unit! We felt that Bucksport was a great location to go exploring Maine! The creek running behind the house provided a relaxing and soothing sound! We would definitely stay here again!!

This house was amazing. Very charming and nicely decorated and updated. We were very comfortable with the AC. Would definitely stay here again. Only wish there was a full length mirror as we had to dress formal for a wedding and could only see our faces. But overall this was a wonderful house.

Very Clean and Dog Friendly

Great home! Very neat and clean throughout. One bedroom is huge which worked well for our xl dog crate. Our dog also made use of downstairs dog bed and bowls. Kitchen is very nice though we only cooked once. Area is rural and nearby restaurants not open early in week but grocery store is very close. Nice walking path by rhe river.
