Amazing
It was a really nice hotel. Very clean and the staff so good to me. Breakfast was very delicious. The best location ever.

The location is just great. The room was clean, the staff let me in even before the check-in time and the breakfast was nice. The elevator was helpful too. On the downside, you can hear your neighbors talking.

Basis but did the job for one night
Very basic place but I booked last minute and got a cheap rate. I didn't spend long in the room but it could certainly have done with a refresh. Friendly staff, however, and check in and check out was very easy and convenient. Location was great too. Wouldn't recommend for couples or those looking for a relaxing weekend break but if you're just looking for somewhere to lay your head it's a good option.

Very tight accommodations
There were toenail clippings on the top of the bedspread when I entered and the layout of the room was very tight that I had trouble maneuvering to get to my hung-up clothes. The bed took up 90% of the room. The location was convenient, however.

Great location with a good breakfast and a fun atmosphere. Beds are a 6/10 comfort, very small room and bathroom. We did not get charge the amount Expedia had quoted. which is never fun.

Tiniest hotel and room. A bit old and shabby. Close to attractions etc. Clean enough. It was fine for our one-night stopover in Brussels, and inexpensive. Stripped-down room, bare essentials only. Front desk was staffed at all hours.

A small but tidy room in a friendly hotel
Good location in a safe neighborhood. In walking distance from the European Parliament. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well serviced rooms. A little too small room for longer stay but enough space for a short visit. Good choice for budget accommodation.

Quiet room and warm in winter. No complementary drinking water and coffee at least for the time you arrive there after a long trip. Please use tap water and pay 1 euro for coffee. Bed was not in a good shape and noisy. Overall it is ok for at most a cou of days.

Sun hotel
The apartments are quite old and with age comes some stains, dirt and weathered rooms. They also advertise air conditioning (as most of the hotels in the area) but the only air conditioning was the open window and fan they had. Good area, ok hotel.

Last resort hotel
The room was so small that you had the choice of suitcase on the bed to move around or suitcase on the ground and you can't enter or exit the room because the door would be blocked. The hallways were almost too narrow to carry a suitcase through, and I would be very surprised if the elevator would hold more than 1 person.

Most comfortable pillows in Brussels
Stayed here for 4 nights in late-September. The hotel location, in the centre of the Ixelles district, is near to both the city centre and the European Quarter. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, eateries, bars, etc. within a few minutes walk. Probably the best element of my experience was the comfort of the contour pillows, which mould to the shape of your head - hence, I slept very well whilst staying here. In addition, room was of adequate size and relatively clean and the WiFi worked well. Negatively, I did find the bathroom basin very small and the mixer tap didn't seem to have a cold setting. Also, there was a chlorine-like smell in the lift - probably due to laundry being transported in it. Recommended on the basis of location, WiFi and - particularly - the pillows.

A good convenient hotel.
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel, the last time 17 months ago. I've seen several reviews of this hotel that are not only unfair but misrepresentative. I was not over charged on the 'web price' on either occasion. The hotel is very central and close to Avenue Louise and central Bruxelles, it's a short walk to many of the attraction including Musee Magritte and Mannequin de Pis. The rooms are small, but that is not a problem - how much time do you actually spend it your room? But the rooms are clean with an en-suite shower and toilet. The cost of the room (a double for single use) at 78 Euros was excellent value. I've stayed in similar sized room in central London and paid twice as much. The staff are all very polite and helpful and are multi-lingual. This hotel is not glitz and glamour, but it is functional and very good value for central Bruxelles.

Decent Budget Hotel in a good location.
Cons: Price online was 80 Euro when I booked, I get there at it was 110. Arrived at the hotel, thought it was closed as the sign was broke outside and there was no pavement just sand. There was heavy construction work outside the hotel, a digger and men were working outside the door of the hotel so was unable to get to the hotel door for about 25 minutes. I was disappointed as we were not told this in advance. The Toilet door in number 16 did not close as it was broke and the television was too high, unable to watch it even when in bed, needs to be lowered. Pros: Decent Price, clean rooms, 24 hour reception was good. Good location as there are nice shops around the corner and close to metro station so 10mins to centre of brussels by metro.

We stayed there for 2 nights and I wish had chosen another hotel. The hotel is close to the city center but it is in a narrow street and it does not seem good when you look at it. The hallways are also narrow and only one person can use them at a time. Getting on and off the lift is also a problem due to small area. Room size was ok but very dirtty. I could not take off my shoes in the room. Inside was dusty and there was a fly in the bathroom. The toilet is next to the wall and you have a problem if you want to sit on the toilet! The towels were made of cheap material but the towels are replaced daily. The remote of the TV in the room does not function properly. You can control the volume only with the remote. For the rest, you have to go to the TV! On the other hand, the radiator is very good. It works very well and you will never get cold in the room. Our window was open to the well of the hotel and I saw some rat traps there!!! Wireless internet was terrible. The signal was very weak and we were disconnecting all the time. We paid 15 Euro for one day parking but it was written to be 10 Euro!!!! We were deceived. The breakfast was 5 Euro and it was good the first day the second day it was not. The second day eggs and bread were not fresh. We had to look for tea with non English and German speaking staff. We had to communicate with gestures. The people sitting next to our table said that "we speak French but we do not understand what this woman says".

Tipical Brussels 5 floors building converted into a hotel, really really small rooms, the area is ok and walking distance from Grand Place. We only slept one night so we didnt mint the small size of the rooms.

Not good
Room wasn't ready when I arrived, had to wait until they got someone to fix it. Very noisy at night, shady neighborhood. Ok for a one-night stay if you need to be near the central station (20 min walk), otherwise look for something else.

great cheap place
yes the rooms are tiny BUT they are somewhat modern and very clean. Plus, its DIRT CHEAP. A short walk to the metro gets you to any station or airport. The surrounding area is OK. If you are on a budget and this hotel is near the places you want to visit and you only plan on sleeping, this is a great place. It is clean, thats most important

Beware Bed Bugs
I stayed 4 of 5 nights booked here, First night was horrendous due to bed bug bites, second night at the sister hotel 'Hotel de France' great, but went back to the Sun Hotel as it was nearer the event I was at, only to be bitten again....but not so badly this time. The third room offered was clear of bugs, only in the very hot nights no fan available. The staff were apologetic, but kept stressing that in all of Belgium the bugs are common, in that case avoid Belgium if possible.

Fine for an overnight stay
The hotel was fine for what we needed. If we were staying in the area longer, we would have gone to a different hotel. The double bed was two beds pushed together, and the bathroom and shower were incredibly small. There is no ice machine (which seems to be the trend in Europe, or at least in the smaller hotels). It's nice that it's close to the metro.

Convenient Hotel for Young Travelers
The room I stayed in required some adjustments on my part so that I could find my way around it. It was a bit too tight. There were shelves and hangers, instead of a closet. With a big luggage to place on the floor, odds are you will have to mind your steps a bit. But if you know that you won't be spending much time in your room and you only need it as a cheap, safe, neat and tidy place to crash in at night, these things don't matter and the hotel is perfect for you. The staff was very friendly. My room was cleaned and tidied up everyday. You can get a city map for free at the hotel. Don't walk to the hotel from Gare du Midi (even though it's just a 30-minute walk) because it's a rough uphill walk to the hotel. Take the metro from Gare du Midi to Porte de Namur, and walk to the hotel from there.

Convenient, inexpensive and basic
Simple hotel with friendly staff. This time my room was rather cramped, no desk to work at and barely enough room to move around, but good for just the night. Very fresh and delightful pastries for breakfast, at just 5€!
