If I had one complaint, and I truly only have one that is so minor it’s not even a big deal, but there is little to no space for dry foods, so end up completely stacking things on the counter. I say this only because big groups & families might find it a small drawback. Otherwise 99.9% amazing, awesome & wonderful!!! Loved it and fully hope to come back here someday!! ##### Allison T. We had a fantastic stay at the Emmeline Cottage and look forward to our next visit. A couple of items to note is that there is no pantry storage so if you plan on eating in you will need to be creative on finding places for storage. Realizing that oceanfront homes are very difficult to maintain on the exteriors, I would point out there that was some deferred maintenance needed on the exterior trellis, patios, etc... mostly peeling paint but some rotted wood and pressure washing that would help spiff up the extior. ##### Martin A. I hoped the pool would be warm when heated during the holiday week so we could still use it in late November (it was!). I hoped my family who flew in from across the country, even from San Francisco, would find it a worthwhile destination (they did). I hoped the charm of the rooms, decor, and design would provide a setting for wonderful memories (yes!). I hoped the view of the beach would make even time in the house a special experience (the view was even better than I expected, and was visible from so many different bedrooms and decks and living areas of the house). I hoped access to the beach would be easy - it really was, even for grandparents and toddlers and teens. Totally glad we booked this rental and would do so again! ##### Cathy Z. I’ve lived in the south my entire life. In small and large houses. I have never had an issue heating or cooling any of those houses because they all had the correct size hvac. The house is lovely and well-decorated. It has 4 floors with an elevator. The top level has 2 masters, next floor is living area with one master. The kitchen is updated tho a bit small for more than 2 people to get into at once. There is a small pantry-ish area next to the half bath that was helpful and had an additional refrigerator which we used. The only one icemaker can be a bit of a challenge but we made it work and assume the others will be repaired. There is also another wine fridge on the second floor that was helpful too. The only hesitation is that the AC for the 4th floor bedrooms was struggling to keep up with the 100 degree heat and was uncomfortable for the couple in the non beach side bedroom. Maintenance was very fast and efficient and did get someone out to recharge the compressors for the 4th floor that day. Service was great. The basement does have storage for beach things and some extra beach things were left there to use. We chose to use the VayKLife credit for some bicycles, chairs, umbrellas, a wagon and 2 boogie boards. That was a good choice. My son-in-law also brought a shade cover called a Shibumi that is very popular and easier to put up and I would recommend that as well. We had a great time...ate at a lovely restaurant called The Nest ( make reservations) and just generally enjoyed the island along with a kayak trip with SouthEast Adventures (great guide named jeff). ##### Dr. Mary G. Can't beat the look, the location or the view. The decorating is great for a rental home but some of the furniture and the carpets could use updating. We had a few minor problems but they were fixed immediately by the property management company. Our biggest beef was that there is only one medium size refrigerator for a 6 bedroom house. We only had 8 people for 4 nights...don't know what a house full of folks would do if staying a week. There is literally no place to keep drinks cold. The second biggest beef was the kitchen. It has a "choke point" right where all the action is...(coffee makers, silverware drawer, etc.) Otherwise, I would highly recommend this house. ##### Joe N. The ocean front location adjacent to the pool was ideal. The weather was beautiful-intermittent rain not a problem-actually refreshing.
