Perfect location
Located just outside the main city, the location is perfect for exploring Bruges, with everything within walking distance. There is plenty of room, with 4 bedrooms and a decent size lounge and kitchen. It could do with a few touches just to tidy up a few things, but it was clean and provided everything that my friends and myself needed for a weekend stay.

Great location, but the house needs some TLC.
The location was perfect for easy access to walk into Bruges. Unfortunately, despite the listing saying parking, there was no parking. The host did pay for the local car park, but this was a 20 minute walk away and not ideal. The house has plenty of room and is well equipped, but there was broken parts of the fridge left on the side in the kitchen and open food left in the freezer, which needed a good defrosting. The bathroom was damp, with very bad damp patches, due to there being no windows that could be opened downstairs. So that whole area smelt of damp. Not great for asthmatics. The garden area could be nice, but has been left and need attention. The shuttered window in our room couldn't be opened as apparently the cord had just broken, but it looked like this happened a while ago, as was very worn. This house would not be good for very young children (our youngest is nine), as the stairs are very steep and quiet dangerous for very young or elderly. With some care and attention, this house could be lovely.

Very disappointing
Poorly presented and maintained property. Much more like an uncared-for student house than a €200+ per night holiday home. Stay did not start well when the accommodation's listed parking turned out not to exist. Extremely steep staircases were not unexpected but wobbly handrails made them perilous. One bedroom was in permanent pitch darkness due to broken blind mechanism. Fridge and freezer were missing shelves and drawers and were dirty and iced up. There was a washing machine but nowhere to dry clothes. Too many other faults to mention but it would only take a few days for a competent tradesperson to fix most of the issues. A sadly neglected house in need of care and attention.

Handy spot
The owner was responsive and very helpful. The house is well suited for younger families, the kitchen had reasonable selection of kitchen wares. Would have liked to seen hand soap for bathroom and kitchen sink

Degelijk huis.
