The location is handy to specialists on Wickham Tce. Front counter staff are friendly and efficient. However, the hotel is old and run-down. Carpets are threadbare, curtains too small to cover the windows. Tiles in the bathroom are broken and there is a lot of mould in the shower. The room smells like artificial air freshener. The walls are thin and we could clearly hear people talking from other rooms. There was building work going on in the hotel which, we were unaware of when we booked, and I had one day of recovery following surgery and it was awful hearing building noise all day long. I would have chosen a different hotel if I'd known about the noise. I do not recommend this hotel and would not stay again.
